Chuck, I would rather do delivers instead, that is why i liked doing truck load work, i didn't have to mess with running to a hundred different places. When i did local work, i always did delivers, that was fine by me. Seems like many many years ago now, i am 72 and 100% disabled from Vietnam now.

Hey chuck like others I’m a retired truck/ bus driver of 47 years, now my grandchildren and I enjoy your videos. I recently told a friend about your channel they watched it several videos and now they are going to apply to etes. I did it all LTL, P/D OTR, then finished my career as a bus driver. Look luck and keep the videos coming, my granddaughter loves when you laugh it just cracks her up.

I’ve got to give you props for the videos you post. I am in the final week of my CDL course in no small part because of you. I’m hoping to work beer delivery to get a few months of experience under my belt and would love to move to P&D later as that’s closer to my previous experience with straight trucks. Thank you for sharing these videos and being excited about your career!

My Traffic Mgr loves Estes for LTL. I see your trucks at my spot daily. I'm in IT but I'm fascinated by logistics. You guys keep everything moving! Thanks!
@Zachafinackus2 жыл бұрын
I do gotta say, Estes does good work. I don't work directly with the company, but I do work in appliance logistics and we contract with you guys up in the PNW and it's always easy (if a bit lengthy, but that's a problem with our system lol) when we need to get PRO numbers to track down shipments. Way better than other P&D companies we use around the country.

Hit the nail on the head with deliveries compared to pick ups…I totally agree…I much rather do pickups
@mikeaikman85452 жыл бұрын
Chuck, I don’t know how it is at your terminal, but another major issue with deliveries is that the routers at least at my terminal DO NOT load the trailers in a good rhythm and load appointment freight loaded near or at the nose of the trailer…trailers aren’t swept out prior to loading…any little debris on the floor of the trailers can cause the pallet jack wheels to lock up and I know a few guys who are on light duty because of it
@mikedarr77232 жыл бұрын
The real fun starts when you have to blend delivering and picking up freight because of early closing times. You have to run the route like that old game Spirograph. I'm lucky because I've had my route for over 10yrs. In Sandusky Ohio where Cedar Point is. Summers are really Busy

I always gave drivers a hard time for the paint scratches on new pallet forks or skidloader buckets. Like 10 minutes on the job and you wouldn't recognize them as new.
@3ddgemi9972 жыл бұрын
Downside of pnd, day time traffic, you see more rude 4 wheelers than otr, some receivers think you have all the time in the world to wait for them to get a signature, where i used to work they expected you to make priority deliveries within a certain time frame it was ridiculous to deal with every shift. Youre home every afternoom but a everyday it could be a good or annoying adventure
