@@LyndseyMacPherson Thank you for the information! Both sides of my family has had numerous deaths due to cancer, the youngest being an aunt who died at 37 from intestinal cancer. I normally worry about anything that potentially causes cancer but at my age, and knowing it can take quite a while to develop, I think I may risk making potato cheese chips at home. I found a YT video for a recipe that doesn’t have oil and can be easily altered by adding lots of tasty ingredients. I think I will be trying it the next time, I am craving a crispy snack! They look good, but is eating blobs of melted cheese really healthy?

Definitely not something that should be consumed daily, but much healthier than store-bought potato chips.

These look delicious, however...they are chock-full of saturated fat from all the cheese used. Not very heart healthy. I can't eat these...maybe like 1 - 2 chips. Not all chips are bad...dont know if you have these in your country but there is a brand called PopChip. Only 4g of fat, 0 saturated for plain...the flavored variants have 4.5g of fat, 0.50g of saturated fat. Low in fat because they don't fry their chips 😊.

True, this is not really a low-calorie chips, but still lower in fat than regular potato chips, and I even didn't count all the fat I removed with paper towels. Also these are really filling, so you definitely don't need a full bag to get satisfied, I had 3 or 4 of these and was just fine. Never heard about PopChip, having baked potato chips sounds like a great choice, but I can't really find any of those chips here on the market.

@@HowToCookSmarter heres the problem; everyone is not as discipline as you. The average person will not eat 3 of these, they will eat the whole tray. Which is very unhealthy.

Saturated fat (esp from grass-fed cows) is a lot healthier than Omega-6-rich seed oils.

@@TrishTruittyeah, NO! who did you hear this from, some nobody youtuber??? No cardiologist would agree with your statement . I'll keep my heart healthy by minimize satuated fat that raises my cholesterol and clog my arteries. Have fun with your crappy heart in the future.

@@apara2005 I don't know about the average person, these chips are super filling... anyway the whole tray is 70g cheese and 40 carrots, definitely better option than 100g bag potato chips, so I'm totally fine with that.

Chip alternatives that don't have so much dairy? My bf and I are heavily lactose intolerant. He is so bad I just say it's an allergy so people take it serious enough, I just get enough exposure through free meals at work as is

"healthier than potato chips" That is a subjective statement as the saturated animal fats in the cheese are just as unhealthy as the acrylamide in potato chips. Carrot sticks are a healthier option. there really is no substitute for a whole fruit or vegetable.

People eat crisps (chips) because they like the taste of potatoes. Potato crisps are very easily made at home, there are lots of recipes around. We are fortunate in the UK that we have many oven baked choices made with vegetables and pulses too.
