Don't eat pig-meat - David Macht showed it to be toxic 70 years ago, and I will not eat zero or low fat dairy so my version would have to be quite different. Fat is not what has made America/UK fat - it is the lies spread by big-food and self-righteous so-called scientists who were only concerned with building a rep.

Why get rid of the yolks, they have all the vitamins. Don't believe they increase cholesterol. Dietary Cholesterol doesn't increase total cholesterol. Your liver make 3000 mgs of Cholesterol daily if you don't eat enough in your diet. Don't believe me? Start watching videos on eggs from Real Doctors. I've spent 7 years watching health videos on KZbin, what I learned help me lose over 80 lbs. at 70 years old, and at 70 I don't look a day over 45 years old, although I have a baby face, I still get carded if I bought alcohol but I don't touch the stuff.

Great recipe, thanks. As a carnivore, i would change out the olive oil for liquid beef tallow, but keep the mustard (a rare condiment i still use). I would also use a little extra ACV to cut back on the lime a bit. A little dirty carnivore, but very negligible. Thanks again.

@@Exercise4CheatMeals You should try this Skyroli recipe I recently made: 450g Skyr (11% protein, 0% fat, 4% carbs (from lactose)). 20g Raw garlic (spanish variety, remove the 'germ' (its bitter)) 50g olive oil 1-2g Salt 1. Peel the garlic cloves, slice in half, remove the 'germ' to reduce bitterness. 2. Place in a mortar and pestle, add a pinch of salt and smash until smooth, get a good forearm workout. 3. Slowly add in oil, tiny amount first then slowly add the rest, smash more, more good.. You should get something that looks something like a mayo but more 'gummy'. 4. Remove it from the pestle and mix it into the Skyr with a whisk, it should remain quite thick and creamy but it will not be fatty. 5. Add into a plastic container for storage. Raw garlic is good for regulating blood pressure and will make your PP work better. What is Skyr? It's a cheese product masquerading as a yoghurt made from skimmed milk, naturally high in protein, low in carbs and very low in fat.

I've been using that as my mayo replacement for chicken salad (shredded chicken, onion, and celery) with really good results. For the blended cottage cheese I've tried different fat percentages but didn't notice enough difference to make higher fat worth it so I just use fat free. Looking forward to trying this hack and comparing especially if it does better on sandwiches!

I probably won't be making it again because it's pretty expensive. Center cut bacon was $12 on sale.. $5 for yogurt $2 for tomato $7 for cream cheese. So you're looking at $26 for some spread. Most of the time I get the yogurt and mix with garlic salt and pepper. Then add some salsa and reduced fat cheddar cheese. Works great as a dip! Just no bacon flavor.

anyone have vegetarian replacements for the bacon, or if it tastes good without the bacon?
@robertmoore8227Ай бұрын
As a non-pig eater the nearest I have found so far is another meat product, namely Pastrami which I now slice finely and fry in either avocado oil (Chosen Foods - a naturally refined oil with high smoke point) or I do use Ghee and/or beef/lamb dripping..... But for a veggie you need to think what bacon offers to these recipes - it is really a bit of 'umami' - and so soya sauce and mushrooms would be candidates if it were not for the colour and potential too strong flavours (maybe a light soya?). Personally I think roasted garlic would give something to it as would the likes of 'celery salt' or 'season-all' (produced by McOrmicks/Schwartz) although cheaper alternatives can be found. Whilst on the subject of soya sauce I buy Kikkoman because there is a reason for the price difference versus other brands such as 'Blue Dragon' or 'Amoy'.... just look at the protein content which is 10g per 100ml in Kikkoman when cheaper brands will be 3g or less - so they have more wheat and/or sugar in the recipe. Personally I won't tolerate these cheap (usually Chinese) rip-offs of what should be a very fine and beneficial addition to our food.
