Thank you for the great video. Also since the older generation messed up the planet it would make sense they pay for fixing it. Not like they have to really worry about it since they're going to be dead before it will effect them too badly anyways.

If we simply stopped allowing corporate laws and preference to be laid aside this problem would quite quickly be no longer a concern. Agricultural practices that raise livestock on rotational graze sequesters 2000 lbs of carbon each year per acre. Livestock grazed on industrial hemp field remnants after baling the hemp sequesters 6000 lbs each year per acre. On top of that the fibers from that 1 acre of hemp is equivalent to 4 acres of forestry. Now we can emphasize selective forestry for greater forestry health and not bulldoze everything down in favor of douglas fir, pine, etc. Where can we get all this land for doing this you ask? Stop growing tremendous amounts of soy. Its unhealthy for humans and grains also aren't the right ideal diet for livestock. Need fertilizer for your fields? Stop using chemical sprays that contaminates the surrounding groundwater etc. Raise chickens in movable tractors. Guess what chicken poop is tremendously high in? Nitrogen! 🙄 You keep paying for chemicals when you could be growing chickens/ducks/turkeys and eggs and getting paid or fed to do so. Plus you get to eat some. And youll know its clean. WTFU people its not hard to do things in an ecologically smart manner and get paid. Shazam.

It is hard and unrealistic on such large scale. On the scale of whole earth. Also unrealistic to expect this would ever get passed in all the countries. If this was implemented into law then the food prices would go up 20 times and people would starve.
@andrewjacobyii2853
@andrewjacobyii2853 11 күн бұрын
@@nixes1636 how do you figure? For one the price of chicken, ducks, turkeys, etc would go down as would the cost of eggs. Plus we would have quite alot of cattle being raised. Where do you get the idea that food prices would go up? As to laws that's completely unnecessary if you look around here in the U.S. all you would have to do is make the tax incentives push these kinds of models and it would take care of itself.

Has the sea risen anywhere?
@SteffiReitsch
@SteffiReitsch 29 күн бұрын
Yes, but slowly. It's risen 8- 9 inches since 1880. It's going to be incrementally rising for centuries to come as glaciers melt on Greenland and Antarctica, there's no stopping it. Google "how much has the ocean risen." The last time there was this much CO2 in the atmosphere, the oceans were up to 100 feet higher, and more CO2 is going in all the time. Anyway, slow sea level rise is far from the most serious aspect of this, what's far more serious is FOOD. Agriculture is going to be severely impacted. Ultimately billions are going to starve to death or try to migrate out of hard hit areas. After about mid- century accelerated climate change goes exponential. At some stage our unsustainable civilization as we know it today will falter and collapse. The 22nd century is going to be Mad Max. It's going to be ghastly.

Why are these really smart people so clueless about the trends in population. China at the current birth rates will go from 1.5 billion to only 525 million people by 2100. Japan 126 million to 63 million. This trend is going on everywhere except Africa over the next 75 years. Along with new technologies (LED bulbs) being more efficient. I just don’t get the hysteria, I have a lot of respect for Mr. Dalio, I just can’t understand how he’s not aware that if the human population is projected to drop off a cliff, wouldn’t that also drop the human impact on climate off a cliff as well?

Population decline will be too slow to save us from accelerated climate change. At some stage, believed to be somewhere about 2C above pre- industrial average global temp., it's out of humanity's hands as irreversible tipping points are breached and CO2 and methane will be streaming out from natural sources, adding to the warming. There are gigatons of CO2 and methane that will be emitted from the thawing arctic permafrost, causing a positive feedback effect on global warming. Also, with fewer humans , there's less atmospheric pollution, so less global dimming, which has been mitigating the warming to some extent. There's no way out of this mess. Heaven help the people and other animals who come after us.

@@SteffiReitsch you are making a lot of assumptions that may, or may not happen. The earth has also become 20% greener since the planet started heating. The oceans have not risen as predicted, it too complicated for humans to model. Not only that, but every doom, and gloom prediction has been wrong, ozone layer, mass human starvation, etc. Sorry if I’m a little skeptical, we’ve been hearing about global warming since the 1990’s.

Don't forget, it is also the "technocrats," such as Dalio, that are pushing this wretched scheme, that has its "formal" roots back in a series of meetings of the committee of three hundred. Dalio is merely proving himself to be among the cabal (kabbal?) of "Mr. Global." It astonishes me that those people some how believe the climate is and always has been static. Then again, their scheme has no-thing to do with the climate, nor the environment. It is all about how much wealth can be plundered from the general populace at large.
