Its crazy to ear the Krab is "ineffective" when in fact it may be one fo the few systems that actually gets tested every single day in real life and death situations (which cant even be said of the beloved MMA) ... just ask the Israeli army and police how effective it is

There is a lot of cardio. It may look easy but have a circle of people around you and you have to fight your way out.

@@scarred10 It's a little different i think. The Judo art is so respected that if you go from brazil to new Zealand, you will learn the same Judo, the sensei respect the knowledge and the history of Judo. In Krav Maga, there are a lot of "pirates" that do not respect the Imi Litchenfeld legacy and just teach bullshit. That's why Krav Maga is a "trademark" and even the real dojos follow a same design with blue mat and etc. But that's just my opinion. I'm a krav maga and judo practitioner.

Why is there no Asian people? Oh yea we have social generalized anxiety disorder that prevents ……I don’t wanna get hit in the face. Let me try one session out? !!!!! Avoidance is also a technique. Avoid conflict at all cost. Turn and run is still number 1 technique taught by some luck Seoul guy

Krav Maga is NOT about defense, it is pure aggression and a mind set to run towards danger, NOT away. And fyi, ya cant teach someone how to fight in two weeks (standard time of Krav maga training for israelli soldiers). How many of these instructors was in the israelli army? My bet is NOT ONE!!!

Totally ineffective ground techniques, with the opponent not resisting. No power in the punches. Self defense fantasy.

Ummmmm!!! It's called training and building up to it. If someone has never had this training it's good to learn the techniques and build up on it with resistance as you gain more knowledge and comfort but not right away.. Its a journey not a sprint

@@heidifennell6528 unfortunately it's true, krav maga is ineffective..i did it for over 6 years and when i started MMA i was completly destroyed by them..this because Krav Maga has no real sparring and the techniques have no use
@scarred102 жыл бұрын
@@leonardonais mma is an entirely different scenario, its about 2 trained fighters and tactics are very important. An assault is not an arranged fight and they will be bigger and stronger but not trained and there will be no tactics,just 100% aggression without warning.Krav may be effective for that but if you dont spar fullcontact,you cannot fight simple as that.

Raven Königswinter Krav and kickboxing are two totally different breeds. I do both and kickboxing is definitely more refined and more for sport fighting. (Of course it would assist you in street fighting as well). Krav is meant to teach you techniques to stay alive in a situation most times with an unskilled assailant. There is a reason you don’t see Krav Maga in professional sports because it has no rules. Using hammer fists are very common especially for smaller people and they don’t teach combos like kickboxing. You attack viciously and violently to assure you survive an unexpected attack which is why is looks a lot more messy. Kickboxing uses more combos and is usually used in planned fights in a ring (which you have months to prepare and train for) with another trained fighter.

Tatiana Harbuck I really appreciate you answer. But i respectfully disagree. I did couple of martial arts and i also have couple of fights under my belt. In my opinion krav maga is mostly useless. I like the mentality behind though. Why i think that its useless is because the concept of movement is same as in any selfdefense system. You need a high skill level and more power then your „attacker“ to succeed. Therefore simple boxing will take you faster further. Anyway a good way to try out how useful or shitty a martial arts is is try it out. Just take someone bigger and stronger then you who has no idea of fighting and let him grab you with the asset to take you down and you are allowed to do anything except attacking the eyes. You most likely wont be able to kick his groin. The you will see how „realistic“ the idea behind KM is. I tried it and immediately changed to muay thai and bjj.

Raven Königswinter I appreciate you actually being able to have an adult debate (was completely expecting an aggressive retaliation to my post.. you never know now a days on the internet). I will say that with Krav it does take to some degree a certain skill level to be effective but that is also why instructors harp on the fact that taking one class will not be effective because muscle memory is something they do rely on in Krav. As far as having to be stronger than your attacker I will respectfully disagree on that. My husband is also very skeptical on Krav and has challenged the techniques I have learned several times before. With my husband loving to proving me wrong he does not take it easy on me, has has no prior training, and easily has the advantage with 100 pounds more than me with several inches of height and I have still been successful on gaining the advantage. I will agree that boxing is definitely important to have and as far as my instructor goes he has taught in depth on striking (straight punches, hooks, uppercut etc) with many combos and has highly stressed the fact to keep the fight in a standing position at all costs. Most of the techniques taught on the ground are in a wrist case scenario and we are expected to fight as our lives are dependent on it.
