It has turned into a habit. Two years ago I eliminated all flours from my diet, especially wheat, I stopped adding the little amount of brown sugar I added to my coffee, I only had lactose free organic milk with my coffee which I later substituted with homemade almond milk. I cannot begin to tell you the wonders this has done to my body. I also started fasting. I’m a 59 year old woman, I had undergone a knee surgery two years prior, it was always swollen. Not anymore, I play tennis on a regular basis and never felt better. Today I started doing yoga. When I tell people I don’t eat flour (I live in Mexico and I don’t eat tortillas) people almost feel sorry for me and tell me how disciplined I am. The truth is that after a while your body doesn’t crave for stuff that is detrimental to your health. Your body gets wiser. ❤

Sugars are bad for your health since cause massive insuline release in your body which is not good and other problems like inflammations. If you eat lot of carbo after gym you will have lot of pain in your muscle the day after, if you don't this pain is less, and this is due to the inflammation not doms or lactic acid and stupid stuff like that...@@Zeus-rq5wn

Its like drinking, its fun, but the negative effects it has on my body totally out weigh the fun i have getting drunk, so i've stopped drinking and i have 0 regrets about it. Same with waking up late and watching tv before work rather than getting up earlier and meditating and making a proper healthy breakfast. Doing things that have a long term benefit are so worth it compared to the short term fun of eating junk or laying around all day rather than exercising and stretching and meditating. Feeling good, and calm and healthy most of the time is just so much better than any of the "fun, pleasurable" things that have negative impacts on you. Be it physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, whatever. And when you get used to that, you realize how much more fun doing healthy things like hiking is now that i'm in a good mood and its easy to hike rather than a strain.

He gets a lot of flak and sometimes outright hostility directed towards him (why are so many tennis fans SO tribal). I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching every one of the ‘big three’ as well as Andy whose injuries precluded a bigger slam haul but who was nevertheless beautiful to watch. Processed sugar, processed dairy products, flour based products, they are ALL TOXIC and POISONS to HUMAN'S BODY IN GENERAL. Stop eating sugar, process dairy products, gluten (processed flour) is the BEST FOR YOUR BODY. But i agree, not to follow blindly. Vegan and eating vegetables, plants and seed based diet is dangerous for your body. Not eating animals based food is dangerous.

Maybe if you at a top 10 tennis player, could ask the same nutritionist. The diet would be different anyway. 😅

On the contrary, if most of the world's population implemented elements of Djokovic's diet philosophy (no processed food, no refined sugar, no dairy, no animal products), it could go a long way to reducing the burden of obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes and cancer. It could also do wonders for climate change that is threatening to end human civilization within our lifetime.

As a type1 diabetic on a strict diet I to follow what he eats but eat pork chilli's salad red onion sweated no bread milk or red meat and no breakfast except back coffee and the while cycling for two hour 500ml spring carbonated water and 2 lemons squeezed in and have been doing this for 5 years. Drink water through out day and measure what goes in and what comes out and colour as this tells you if more or less is needed. Salt marks on clothes will also tell you if your sweating too much salt out of the body. Resting heart rate is 54bpm hit peek 168bpm with average of 155bpm. Heal great as legs suffer micro tears and ketones are good. If you eat a large meal watch your hear rate levels increase. Diet is everything and staying away from processed food is so important and veg oils.

I'm really glad you made this video because it seems that many newer fans of Nole aren't aware of his early history of quitting or gassing out, and they don't understand why Nole was/is not as popular as they think he should be. I remember well when he started on the tour, and I really disliked him because of the quitting and the relatively frequent lack of desire or ability to finish without petering out. He obviously totally changed that around, but his newer fans should understand that the criticisms of his early performances aren't just made up. I'm also glad you posted this because it's a reminder that I need to make some dietary changes 😊. My build is extremely similar to Nole's (6'2" ectomorph), and I'm pretty sure I have glucose sensitivity; I definitely have digestive issues. I did some research on his diet but couldn't find a lot of specifics, so thanks for posting this!

except some people, like Jordan Peterson (and many others) function optimally with red meat... and if you have a problem with the way meat is produced, seek local, responsible farmers and support them! Don't support mono-culture production--massive farms of just one crop or seed or fruit where EVERYTHING else is killed...mice, voles, ground hogs, soil bioms, birds, etc... to produce SOY, ALMONDS, AVACADOS, etc consider: not eating meat means a lot of cows would never have a life, and many are raised responsibly, in fields and ranges. Given that we all must eventually die, I'd choose a few days in a field over no life at all. There are over 600 variety's of meat eating plants and frankly, plants should be raised responsibly, too... so grow your own and support local farmers!

Gluten,dairy, and sugar. Novak deleted all three of those from his diet, entirely, as well as becoming vegan; and that saved his health, turned him into an amazing awesome athletic machine.
@radam28184 ай бұрын
But he seems to complement that with protein powder and probably supplements for vit B12 which is only found in animal products. A vegan diet is tricky and needs to be carefully managed.

Spinach, chia seeds, quinoa, dates are all high oxalate foods that can cause kidney stones. Oxalates can be reduced by upto 60% by boiling in water. They can also be eliminated to a good extent by combining them with a good calcium source often found in dairy like curd or milk. Oxalate levels in spinach are insanely high and as far as I have read not recommended to be consumed raw. I really hope his kidneys are doing ok if he is taking all these 🙁.

@@nippur7189 No, it's not. I had the very problem mentioned by the OP and wound up in the hospital with excruciating kidney stones. I had a high-oxalate diet but wasn't getting enough water. Once I (or rather the doctor) deduced the problem, I reduced my oxalate intake, increased my water intake, and haven't had kidney stones since (2 years). I suspect Novak is probably not at risk, though, because his high level of exercise and water intake definitely combat the forming of stones.

The gladiators were known as the "barley men". They fought poorly when they were fed flesh and blood, but fought well and had energy when fed barley, beans, fruit, and ash. Eating meat takes a ton of energy away from you. Whole plant food are light, provide energy, and do not slow you down like eating cadavers, milk, or eggs. Been a whole food ethical vegan for over 25 years (and saved over 2000 animals by not eating them). Congratulations to him for waking up and eating better.

I wish I could cut out meat entirely but I am skinny and noticed I started losing weight, probably because of lower fat and protein intake.

That's a mistake. Red meat is the healthiest food by far, bar none. There's a reason why carnivore heals and gives life back to so many individuals. You should try it for a couple weeks or a month. I think you'd be surprised how much you've been lied to.

I agree. There’s this appeal For health and vigor and strength but no attempt to retrain our minds from doing what addicts us to unhealthy practices. It’s great to keep it up because it keeps the hospital staff working full time and pharmaceuticals rich. But if you’re actually 😅n charge if your mind you can impact your palate and thus your body and mind function. But hey, let people eat up and drink up and do whatever and pop pills and deal with deteriorating illnesses as long as they think YOLO. If earlier generations did it, they also didn’t have the same stressors, contaminants and preservatives and they walked a lot more so there was a different balance. With today’s fast paced and burnout schedules we are burning the candle at both ends. And genetic engineering to mass produce affects our meats and dairy and grains for breads so the food is of a lower strength value. Pharmaceuticals and medical shire their own people to create studies that deny the need for healthiest diet and practices. People get sick constantly, feel depressed bloated and colds and cough and skin issues like never before. But Djokovic isn’t the first to know and do this. He’s just popular so he can better advertise it. People living in Blue zones and others have been doing this all along. Good Job Novak. Thanks for living conscientiously-using your Brain to think and not your stomach( like a child or animal: primal).

I'm a big tennis fan. I followed Novak closely from his really days. In 2010 I developed a severe form of Lupus. A disease that compromised my immune system. This caused a serious gluten-intolerance. I didn't know what the problem was. None (0) of my Drs. could tell me why I was having trouble recovering. I saw how Novak overcame his problem and figured out what was wrong with me. I think a medical professional would have eventually figured it out. But, I'm glad I didn't have to wait.
