I said before too, if wei yi took his career seriously, he is the best player out there, sadly, even today chess is not that much of a viable career that's why super GMs like Hikaru earn their living out of streaming, wei yi also started doing MBA and studying for his career. Chess has lost many players due to financial issues, I personally know few folks who were amazing, it seems in India there is so much of scope with companies sponsoring kids, but 10 years ago this was not the case, and parents have to invest a lot in their kids before they get to this stage.... I have witnessed this personally Hats off to the parents of Gukesh and the likes of Pragg ... they are unsung heroes ....

In Tata steel masters tie break he defeated Nodribek Abdusattorov with Alekhine defense , defeated Vidit Gujrathi with Colle system and defeated Gukesh Dommaraju to win the Tata steel tie break with Edgard Colle of English by Isolated Gukesh c pawn. ...Nc6 ...Nb8 ...a5 ...Na6 seems way too slow. That's sort of the old-school setup before the Mar del Plata variation was invented, but the main question there is whether to play ...a5 first or just go ...Na6 ...Nc5. It's why White has instant pressure on the king side -- because black is spending too much moving his knight around, and the position isn't going to stay closed. Stockfish thinks there's almost a forced win from 12...Nh5 on, but either way, at no point does Black's knight ever get a chance to move to c5. This is how I learned to play the KiD, and I knew it was wrong. Of course, you rarely know anything when Super GMs play each other, but I was looking forward to checking Pragg's setup as a sanity check.
