Tarrare was a French showman and soldier, noted for his unusual appetite and eating habits. Vanessa had the mental breakdown that I suspected. She had an identity crisis. Amelie is a good movie from 2001. The bread was hilarious.

Why does everyone keep saying this episode was confusing? This was definitely one of the easier and entertaining episodes of the season. Definitely one of my favs especially being a fan of van.

Perhaps I misused the word. It’s less “confusing,” but rather incredibly bizarre. One moment Van is shoving someone into a pool, being distant with Earn, then the next time we see her she’s preparing and frying a severed hand from a guy she beat up with a stale baguette. It just doesn’t make any sense. And the fact she built this life entirely offscreen doesn’t help either. I understand the *_why_* but not the *_how_* if you get what I mean.

@@phvros oh no I get exactly what you mean, just literally every time I see someone talk about this episode they always Say how confusing it is. Being an Atlanta episode naturally it’s confusing but this one wasn’t really for me. A lot really didn’t make sense like how she’s in magazines and like you said had a whole life there.

Van has a kid, with earn, dafuq is she doing trying to "find herself". Talk about selfish. What, did she think earn was just gonna be okay with letting her only daughter move to the other side of the world!!?? Talk about delusional. At least she snapped out of her insanity though 😂

His name was Earnest Marks. He was a character who appeared in episodes 1 [Three Slaps] and 4 [The Big Payback]. - You might remember a guy suddenly offing himself into a pool. The post-credit scene shows that his luggage mistakingly got sent to Earn. This is because they both share the same name. It’s just eerie.
