Another good video 'Coco Boy'. I LOVE Portland, spent a lot of time in Port Antonio, many, many years ago and haven't been there for a looong time/since then, so overdue a visit now. I remember it being a beautiful Parish with beautiful people and STUNNING beaches. We stayed at mum's friend who had a home there when I was sweet 16, it was so safe, I made friends with so many people, some of the market guys who by looks alone would scare most people with their gold teeth, scars and BIG jewellery etc, but were the friendliest guys you could EVER meet. I got a spin on a Policeman's bike and a free boat trip over to Navy Island on some guys boat, and we made friends with a hotel owner over by San San beach and was given a tour of it including the grounds etc etc.😂 Begging is NOT part of the culture, but unfortunately, too many people are doing it and they need to STOP that because it sends out the wrong message about Jamaican people where most do not practice that - where is the pride and etiquette in that? It's embarrassing and makes me cringe when they do that to visitors and those who do it should know better, it is not how their parents bought them up and most certainly NOT how their Grandparents brought them up either. There was no need for that guy barbecuing the pork on the main road to be "telling you" to buy him a beer, he's fiesty, rude and out of order and trying it on and shouldn't be doing that, you don't take advantage of people or their kindness and friendliness, he is working and earns a salary, he's not poor and certainly doesn't look it either. Like you, I cannot stand people doing that to me seeing me as a £ sign or think I have a money tree in my back garden because I don't, I like it to be my choice if I choose to bless someone and buy you something to eat or drink etc. That kind of behaviour isn't going to attract tourists, it does the opposite, it will put people off returning because people don't want to be constantly hassled on holiday or their travels or feel harrassed or conned out of their money people trying to charge you double and triple for fruit or whatever the goods are that they are selling, Jamaica doesn't need that, it needs all the tourism it can get, especially new and returning tourists to the island, helping the working people and the economy. I cannot stand that "beggy, beggy spirit".😤😠 Thank you for sharing Coco Boy and continue enjoying Jamaica. If you'd like recommendations of places to visit then reply 'YES' or such alike here and I'll drop you a message on Insta'. One❤Love, Peace & Blessings!🙏🏽✌🏽 Jehovah Shalom!✡️

They sell the papaya by the weight so the price won’t be the same all the time. Because they all don’t carry the same weight. You gotto learn how to shop bro. When u buy items that sells by the weight. You gotto ask how much they sell per lb then you will use the price per lb and the weight to you how much is the item. The let the lady sells it for less than what she usually sells it for because you thinking the lady trying to over charge u

These are some fun facts about Jamaica. Prior to 1962, Jamaica's population was so ethnically diverse. There were the English, the Scotts, the Germans, the Irish, the Indians, the Chinese, the Lebanese, the Syrians, Jews, and the Africans were in abundance. I believe the Africans made up 40-50% of the population at the time. It wasn't perfect, but it was the only place on planet Earth where it seems like everyone was living in harmony. Martin Luther King Jr., the civil rights leader in America usually come to Jamaica. He was literally shock! This was is first time he saw multiple ethnicities working together. He wrote a book in Jamaica, and also got the inspiration for is "I Have A Dream" speech. 1962 was the year when Jamaica got its independence from England, and many of the English return to their Motherland. 1979 came and the Prime Minister of the day told the country's upper class and middle class they can/should leave by taking 5 flights to Miami, many did. Many Jamaican Chinese, Lebanese, Syrians, Jews, more English, Irish, Germans and some wealthy Africans left after that utterance. That era was dubbed the great brain drain of the country. Then a similar thing happened in 1996, where there was a financial collapse of the economy. This exodus was big, but not like the other 2. Jamaica respect every culture, because every culture is in the fabric of this country. CoCo Boy, I would like for you to do a mini documentary about the Jamaican Jewish community. We have one here. Please check out this lovely Israeli lady, living Jamaica, @why jamaica. On KZbin.

I doesn‘t really matter if you feel that way or not, you are someone that comes from a place with more financial opportunities. That s just the reality. I agree that it s about how and when you give. That s important. In the end i d say to everybody, you have to give and you have to understand where you come from and where you are. Just be a human and have the right genuine energy and from my experience people will give back that energy. It s all good times and friends. Don‘t forget to give though. It s very important
