I met a gentleman some years ago when I went back home to Jamaica 🇯🇲 I went back as a tourist and while relaxing on a beach chair and watching the sun set over the ocean he asked me where I was from and I told him that I’m from Jamaica but I’m now living in overseas and he turned to me with a surprise look on his face and said you really left this beautiful place to go live in and he mentioned the name of the country I told him I was now living in he sad are you crazy but like you said most of us leave because of the lack of opportunity and other financial situation . I love Jamaica 🇯🇲 and I look forward to returning to the land of my birth

The war between the British and the Maroons was fought over a span of seventy five years. They lost their relevance when slavery was abolished. Not all of us know the importance of this part of our culture. Thank you for bringing this part of our history back into the spotlight.
