Judd's reaction is the real deal. No screaming. No fight. No yelling. You can't believe what you are seeing, you go out and have to sit, to get your breath. You turn inside yourself, maybe she's saying something to you, maybe not. You cannot hear anything but the beating of your chest, feel your heavy heart sinking. And then you look over at her, still not hearing her but aware that she is speaking. Then you focus on something else... an inanimate object, a bird outside, a sound down the road, whatever it takes to keep yourself from going mad. Then you realize it... This is Where I Leave You.

Looking back on when I commented on this 10 months ago, I think the reason I find it this episode so memorably irritating, is that the woman apologises as though she's merely disappointed him - e.g. as though she jilted him suddenly at the alter - a badly managed situation to be sure, but ultimately the right thing to do under the circumstance. Rather than a prolonged abject betrayal.

@e causey Desperation of emotion won't give people the right to cheat too although if they will do crazy things. She should seek her husband if she is desperate of emotion or affection. And it's true love conquers all, but love is meant for a single person only, when there is more than one like in this situation then its not love anymore.
@dallasyap30644 жыл бұрын
@e causey OK I'll just make it clear. Love is only one person. It doesn't involve more. Second of all being unfaithful is not love. Love is loyalty and care. That's why I said earlier, if couple has problems, they should go counselling of sort the problem out themselves together. If there is a problem solve it together. Even if the husband doesn't want to, thw wife should keep convincing him. If his attitude is still the same over and over and other options seem to fail then suggest a divorce since they are not compatible.
@dallasyap30644 жыл бұрын
@e causey I never say people are property. I neve said u own your partner or spouse. I didn't identify me first. What I said was couple should solve their problem together if there are any. By doing so, it will make their marriage great. Some people don't have that kind of courage to tell their family so quickly. It may take time for some people. Unless u totally don't care about it, then just simply tell them that u are divorcing your wife. Different people will take the betrayal of their spouse differently, not everybody will react the same way. She is not his mommy, but she is his WIFE. Do u understand what is the meaning of WIFE? Its also a spouse responsibility to remind the other spouse or to do some convincing. In fact whatever is it, any problem always look for spouse to solve it together. Don't I don't need to get older to understand, I already understand.

@Rikki Yes, the book has the same name, and I find it more interesting than the film (although the film is a reasonable translation). In a post somewhere below, I quote from the book. The book focuses more on the cuckoldry element than the film does - I mean the 180 degree betrayal in a marriage that had a lot of apparent strength and authenticity to it. So we are made to feel his sense of pointless loss throughout the story. We are shown how his marriage was once strong and so the sense of loss is greater.

Why is she crying? It’s not because she felt bad for cheating. She cheated a whole year without crying. Those tears aren’t of remorse or guilt. They’re for herself. Because she knows she may now have to actually experience consequences for her betrayal of her husband.

Me, if i were in Judd shoes, first thing I would notice is why my wife would be playin rap music? Walk in & see this, stand there & yell out. "Happy Fuckin' Birthday, Honey". Throw the cake at both of them. Do you like ke the taste & design i picked out special for you. Was it really worth it. Spear myself the drama, walk away & take off my ring, drop it on the floor...she'll know it's over. I don't if I were ever would forgive her...Ever? Now imaged if this would happen to any of our U.S. veterans, who comes home from overseas after a long tour of duty & finds this out. It would be hell of a welcome home gift.

From "When Harry Met Sally": Jess: "Marriages don't break up on account of infidelity; it's just a symptom that something else is wrong." Harry: "Oh yeah? Well that symptom is fucking my wife."

Cheating in your bed, is the ultimate disrespect... the adulterers outcome comes to mind
@swadings Жыл бұрын
Cheaters are the scummiest people on earth. Getting with someone else while having your significant others heart is like taking their heart and promising you’ll take care of it, but instead you throw it on the ground and stomp on it with the other person. That’s damage that cannot and will not be repaired properly.

Thats why I tell people to not fuck around with me because if they cheat with somebody. Im gonna throw away my life if that means I can drag both cheaters to hell.

I always said if I found out my partner was cheating I’d be going crazy screaming and throwing shit but when it actually happened to me I was the total opposite, I just sat in silence and zoned out, he was constantly talking trying to explain himself but to this day years later I can’t remember what he said to me but it made no difference I already knew in that moment it was over

why did she cheat on him?
@dallasyap30644 жыл бұрын
She wants to have more sex and enjoy more fun without her husband. That is usually the reason for every cheater.
@dallasyap30644 жыл бұрын
@F.Angel C. gomez Loneliness isn't an excuse to cheat. If u feel that lonely then u should talk to your husband, not cheat on him. If communication fails then go seek counselling or therapy, if these too fail, then u have try your best to save and commit into this marriage and divorce would be the option. Infidelity is never an option to solve things.
@dallasyap30644 жыл бұрын
@F.Angel C. gomez some humans are indeed stupid. People cheat bcoz they want pleasures and fun and doing so without consequences or repercussions, that's why they don't tell the truth.

If I remember correctly, she was pregnant earlier in their marriage and she miscarried the baby. After the miscarriage, they both took it differently. He managed to bounce back from the loss sooner than she did. He still loved her no matter what after the miscarriage but she was not the same. Eventually it lead to her cheating on him.

That's the part where you become numb. You will never try again, not for someone else. You realize that all the effort you put in was for nothing. All the times you put her happiness before yours was taken for granted. This is the part where you no longer care about anyone but yourself. You become the priority. This is where you make yourself happy. But this is also the part where women wonder why you have no heart or why you don't "try". It's the part that kills you but makes you realize there are only so many years left on this planet so go fucking enjoy them and fuck everyone's feeling but your own.

On her birthday??!! Scorched earth! Announce that the boss had been having sex with the wife for a year and destroy his career. Dump all his files and quit immediately. Who knows, maybe write a book about the douche and get paid up front.
