Jigjiga property market is incredibly scam by the administration heads plunder the meager resources from the federal government and it’s widespread everywhere in kililka,i have been there last July and terribly sadened the of affairs in this Ogadenia region it is almost lawless.

I never had chance to see Jigjiga but I went two cities in Harawo and Tuliguleed. I travelled from Lughaya Awdal near Saylac to Tuliguleed. I didn't feel stranger since people were my distance cousins. I couldn't understand people in Tuliguleed for some reason, they were speaking Somali. Geri, Jaarso, Samaroon and Ciise all in or around the city. Tuli Guleed, Herogel and Laafo Ciise were beautiful towns. They are farming cities with beautiful landscapes but colder than Awdal at that time.

I bought my own little land plot still unbuilt in Jigjiga and my late father's farms in the flatland area where I was born and raised is neaby about 30 km to the city. I will never buy these over priced houses but I will build by myself inshalah when the time is right. That said, eventhough I went Jijiga for school in late 1970s , I visited frequently , along with Borama, Aw Bare, Lafa Issa and Garoon aka Tog Wajale in the last 8 years. I still like the climate, people and the land but the thing is that businesses and lifehoods of the somali population in the Region always face permanent risks and nihilistic policies and other unknowns associated with the policy of Abyssinian rulers from Addis through occupation, corruption, displacement, migration, abuse, mistreatment and outright looting of their property and wealth everytime. Clues? The mentioned occupiers will never build or buy a single house for themselve there. You will never see them doing it in either Jijiga, Deridhaba or Harar. Worse yet, their population is migrating and moving into these beautiful cities with unprecedented rate in the last decades. They are only waiting for an oppotune moment such as conflics and political strife to make the move and confiscate all and chase out or kill the rightful owners. And this policy trend has been happening repeatedly in the last 100 years or so . Sad but it is true parallel and parassitic system of rule

I would love to see Tuli Guleed. What do you mean you couldnt understand them? Is it safe to go there now? Also what else should I know before going there.
@moeawale4891 Жыл бұрын
@@istarhabeen I think what she mean is that she didnt had enough info or had littlle conctact . But Tuli Guled and its surroundibg farmland are inhabitted by Jaarso, Gadabursi, Gari clans. The originnal name and founder of the village was Xaaji Guleed about 80 years ago , who was the fathe of Professor Sulemaan Guled from Makail Dheere of Samaroon And the Prof is about 80 plus years old and still alive. Ask him yourself because he knows the history and was born there. His family still have farms in the area till today.

It's a gated community so no madaxnuun from miskeen people, no burning plastic smells, sadaga majiro, no cayeelka hafada dhagax-tuurayaal and no ari iyo geel making xaar all over your xaafad. Also living in Jigjiga has a few advantages. The food, like fresh vegetables and fruits and meat, is significantly cheaper than in Somaliland and also the khat is cheaper (for my margaan walaalos). I have to say that the finish could've been done a lot better. From only watching the video I could see that the marmer is not straight in a lot of rooms and also the walls have bubbles in them. Also it looks like a lot of doors and cabinets/closets have been damaged whilst being installed. The painting could've been done a lot better also because you can see there is paint all over the place where it shouldn't be and also the colours are hidious but that's a matter of taste I guess. I would say 80k/85k would be a better price for a house like this given all the benefits of the area and then I am very generous when it comes to the finish. Edit: I freaking love Ali Dhaanto by the way. If he was my neighbour and he would sing me out of my bed every day I would happily pay 110k for this house. Lol.

it's absolutely embarrassing if they're going to bring in that condition to the market. I've been there and live there part-time, and the land prices are very expensive. Building a VIP house under your watch will definitely cost you around 70- 85k for sure. It's a little bit overpriced, especially with the condition and materials used in the building shown in the video. Not sure if the house wasn't ready yet, but trust me, people in Jigjiga know how to build much better houses than what we saw with very poor quality and lighting for 100k.

98,000 USD is a lot. I would pick the very modern homes and apartments in Nairobi Kenya 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 by our Kenyan Somali instead...Eastleigh and other places at less than 34,000 USD...No offence Ethiopians, there's just a lot to do in Nairobi. Also Geenyada come to Nairobi, BBS mall is open!
@waraabebidaarleh3165 Жыл бұрын
Come on man, you're going to compare Eastleigh to a gated community in Jigjiga? In Eastleigh you'll get a free knife in your belly with the house, you'll get robbed every time you go to the store and your children will get a pro bono Gangster Bachelor education. These houses are meant for people who want to live in a peaceful and exclusive environment.

Sorry dear but the rooms are very small in all the houses. The windows are narrow and they are very expensive. If I want a house in Jigjiga I want a house built to the African weather very big windows, spacious rooms outside seating area because I have enough of small rooms in England. Also the price is very high and the project in ten years will look like the states we see in London. Did this company have a service to build my own house if I have the land already that’s what I am interested 🙏🏾
