In today's episode we are visiting one of the most romantic places in the world, famous for its magnificent scenary and the rich culture: Lake Como.
Located on the Italian-Swiss border, the city of Como in Italy overlooks the southwest end of its lake and is surrounded by green ridge hills, resulting in unparalleled, natural scenery.
The cool thing about Como is that you can really see and do a lot of things, whether you are visiting Lake Como for a day or staying longer.
We will start our adventure from the town center, with the delightful streets full of shops, churches and some secret spots!

Wow the color of blue in the detail of the cathedral’s ceiling medallions was gorgeous. To stay in one of the villages and then hopefully find hiking trails in the surrounding area. Would be like a dream come true!

Thank you for this beautiful tour, Luca and Sara. I kept going back to the ending because I thought I wasn’t paying close enough attention to hear the words you had translated for today. (It’s not like I remember any of the other ones). It’s funny how we get used to something and find incompleteness when the usual is not there. Such creatures of habit we are, us humans. If anything, this reminded me to let go of what used to be cuz a whole lot of ‘newness’ is coming up to fill in what’s falling by the wayside. Love to you both from California.

Thank you for showing Como and Lake Como. We took a tour bus from Milan to Como and Lake Como in 2019. I couldn't believe how the tour bus driver maneuvered the bus through the narrow streets. At one point the tour dropped us off, we got on a boat and toured the lake, got back off, toured a town, took a ferry back across the lake and toured another town and met the bus again. It was an all day affair and cost us $100 (US). It was a fantastic day with many lasting photos and memories. I loved the cathedrals in Italy which included Vatican City, Venice, Roma, Pisa, San Gigignano, and Milan.

I love "Happy Hour." I could survive most of the time on Happy Hour cocktails and finger foods ..... and in Italy .... the food is outstanding. In fact, I can "Apertivo" at the regular time and then, instead of having dinner later, I can Apertivo again! Ahhh, an Aperol Spritz and some small plates ... my idea of heaven.

Just last week I was gonna suggest you show some of the beautiful lakes in Italy! I have only seen Lago di Darda so far, and Lugano (iirc it is in Italy and Switzerland). So glad you showed Lago Como. I guess the problem is that these lakes are tourist magnets esp. starting in July when all of Europe is having summer holidays.... Maybe in fall!?

Lake Como is the deepest lake in Italy. The deepest lakes in Europe are in Norway. Como is 4th below them. Absolutely stunning video footage and thorough detailed history is what I love about your videos. Thank you so much for the wonderful work you put into making these videos for us.

Thank you, Sara and Luca, for going to Lake Como as I suggested. I always wanted to see it and with your excellent videography and narrative, I'm so thrilled to experience it. The Parco Villa Olmo reminds me a little like the Versailles palace in France. ...There was Luca again with his pizza! Did you know, the battery inventor, Volta, had twelve kids? They were called "the dodici volte" 😊Say, why don't you go for a ride on one of those boat planes? Looks like fun..Sara's former apartment looks like the one in the miniseries "Questo Nostro Amore; Anna e Vittorio" with Anna Valle a few years ago. I wonder if it was the same? One lasting memory for me of Como is barreling down those insanely narrow and winding streets in the passenger seat of my Italian inlaw's Mercedes while he either smoked a joint or gulped down a large beer. Right foot ached from all that imaginary braking.

Great video…I just was in Como - flew back to the USA on the 31st. There were some big rainstorms on the Lake during the week I was there, and a lot of wood washed down from the mountains and clogged the lake near the ferry dock. Como is wonderful.

Your channel which I have followed since your start in North America has definitely been very enjoyable.
