You gotta remember that the CFP committee said that they will not hold a loss in a conference championship against the team. That means if a team loses in their conference championship they would need to be out based on their regular season record. I think the teams that would likely be out with a conference championship loss are Clemson, Arizona State, and Iowa State. If that is true then I think the CFP should be as follows: In for sure: Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, SMU, Boise State, Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee (that is 9 locked spots). In only with a conference championship win: Clemson, Arizona State, and Iowa State (only 2 of these 3 can advance, so if Clemson losses only 1 more spot gets locked; if Clemson wins, 2 more locked spots). So that gives the teams on the bubble 1 or 2 spots. I view the teams on the bubble as Ohio State, Alabama, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Miami, the loser of Arizona State/Iowa State, and BYU. If there is only 1 spot, I think Ohio State takes it. If two, then the last spot will be either Alabama, Miami, or loser of Arizona State/Iowa State. Nightmare scenario would be if both Clemson wins and Boise State loses their conference championships, in which case I could see none of the bubble teams making it in.

As a Bama fan since Bryant, we dont deserve to be in. This is the most inconsistent and undisciplined team i have ever seen. Everyone knew there would be a drop off after Saban, but this is insane. Milroe is not the answer at quarterback, and i stand behind this statement since he filled in fkr young during the A&M game in 2022. He's a running back that can throw a deep ball. Coaching is all over the place. That's understandable considering its the first year, but this late in the season the play calling shouldn't be this difficult, and the prep doesn't seem to be there. Yes, we have good wins, but also some horrible losses. Sc has wins versus teams Bama lost to but also has losses to teams Bama destroyed. Those wash, and Bama still has the head to head. We can play the if they played now nonsense, but i bet if bama played vandy and Oklahoma again they wouldn't lose. Sc can say they got robbed in the LSU game, but they shouldn't have blown a lead and let one play change the outcome of the game. Maybe if the messed up call in the Oklahoma game against bama didn't happen, they game may have changed. The committee never said that. . . talking heads on ESPN said that. So if you have a weak schedule like SMU, have one loss to #17 BYU and no top 25 wins. Kyle I’m not sure about your confidence. I don’t think Bama will get in with 2 losses to unranked teams. If those unranked teams would have had better seasons after they beat Bama, then I could see the committee giving Bama a flyer. But both Vandy and OU turned out to be just average bowl teams. And they became bowl eligible because they beat Bama. Bama had the Playoffs in the bag. But they decided for themselves that they weren’t interested by showing up in Norman, Oklahoma and laying an egg. I can’t get out of my head what I saw that night. Dropping passes, missing blocks with no effort, throwing INTs, not making the tackle after the INT, etc, etc. It’s lack of effort that’s so frustrating. Teams who are fighting for championships don’t play like that. I would feel better about this team if they showed up and competed at a championship level every Saturday. It’s ok to get beat if you’re playing your best. It’s not ok to get beat because of a lack of effort. But this team just doesn’t care as much as they should. If I’m on the committee, I’m leaving them out.

South Carolina is playing better football than Alabama! In my opinion S Carolina should get in before Alabama! Alabama laid an egg in Norman Oklahoma and they did it in their 11th game of the season. That should automatically remove Alabama from consideration. South Carolina had won 7 straight games. This should not be open for debate.

Alabama will be a #11 in my opinion. What is going to happen is Miami is going to move down to the #12 spot. Last week Alabama lost to an unranked team and they went from #7 to #13. Miami is going to go from #6 to #12. Clemson is going to go down to #16. If you are in a Power Conference and you do not play any top 25 teams you cannot get in with 2 losses in the season. I dont' have an issue with Miami getting in they had won and then lost in the ACC Championship.
