Well said, half these "Johhny come lately's" know nothing about the history of our football club. David Seaman joined Arsenal when he was 27/28 he didnt reach his peak arguably until Euro 96 when he was well into his 30s. Ramsdale is 25, has lots of upside, and his best years ahead of him.

You can either look at it in one of these 2 ways. 1: We are not being given a chance to fall in love with the players while we on our way to achievements.( invincibles era) or 2:Caring more about silverware a bit more like city where the disposition of players is high like it happened with players who fans loved like Sane, Jesus, Yaya Toure etc because they didn’t fit what the manager wanted from them and fast forward a few years later they have created an incredible standard by making such decisions.

I've been an Arsenal fan for almost 40 years. Many highs and many lows. It's never easy lol For me Ramsdale is potentially great and i love his personality and attitude but he's nowhere near his peak yet.

Agree Ramsdale is 25, goalkeepers don't reach their peak until they are 30. He makes mistakes yes, but so did Seaman and Lehman, some massive ones too. Seaman didn't join Arsenal until he was 29, and in his first season won the league title. Ramsdale has a massive upside, signing Raya would be a misallocation of resources and a kick in the teeth to Ramsdale. And I am not just saying that because of the statement he put out today.

I had concerns about ramsdale last year and was heavily criticised for it. He’s not bad by any means, just not the elite GK we need yet. I’m glad we are looking at other options to bring competition to the position!

I think its far more likely that Mikel is looking for two '#1' GKs to allow changes between league and cup games. And after last season being derailed by key injuries this also gives us a genuine 'next man up' approach. Given Ramsadles obvious mental strength (given what he suffered personally last year without any drop in form) this may well elevate him to the next level.

Strengthening an area of strength is a good thing, It'll also be nice to have a really good option if Ramsdale' form drops or he picks up an injury. I like Turner but we won't win anything if he has to have a run of games in goal but with Raya coming in we have 2 good players that will push each other to be better and from what we've seen of Aaron he'll relish the competition and support David if/when he gets a run of games

Another point to add which I heard on ArsenalVision from Clive was, this could affect the morale as he is Goalkeeping coach's favourite and speaks the language etc. Hopefully it doesnt turn things sour. I personally don't think Raya can actually be our number one but he will definitely push Ramsdale. I also liked the point you made that Raya will increase his value and can be sold outside England. So It is definitely, a good move. Ramsdale actually has higher ceiling from what I have seen of both, he can pull off miraculous saves. Lets see how it goes.

I agree with your first point but since we might have to buy Raya for 40 mill, I find it hard to belive we can sell Raya for more than that fee, but the market is inflating so never say never. I think Ramsdale could be sold for a very high fee.

I love your content! Please do a video on our striker options. I feel like Nketia is not good enough for us. Could be the star at a mid table club but just not good enough for winning the PL - too wasteful, sub par positioning. With injury prone Jesus and ‘not really a 9’ Havertz, we either need a big signing (could be an older player, who would come cheap) or we need to adapt Martinelli (who was on fire vs Monaco) or Trossard (also looks in great form) to the role.

I am an Arsenal fan, let's be honest, Ramsdale is a good GK, his distribution isn't too bad, he has made some amazing saves but that's what keepers are paid to do. Ramsdale shot stopping is below the bar and penalties too. Raya is a big upgrade, I don't care who gets hurt and leaves, I just want trophies, I have suffered enough as an Arsenal fan.

Look at it this way. Last season we "lost" it because of injury, getting an keeper with equal to better or how you see Raya, doesn't hurt anyone. This could just be to make sure that 1. Ramsdale doesn't get injured. 2. His wage and how much value he will bring for a salary increase 3. Having different playstyles, using Ramsdale in some and Raya in others, better suited the way we want to win or setup for each game as they come, as everyone is flexible to play almost whatever position in different playstyles.

This is totally unrelated to the video, but finding out Arsenal have the highest net spend over the last 5 years was pretty wild. 680M compared to Man City’s 262M! United are close at 676M, Tottenham at 508M, Chelsea 448M, Newcastle 432M, Aston Villa 337M and Liverpool at 255M. Whilst Barcelona and Madrid don’t even crack the top 10!
