Who else misses their brass section? Now I'm gonna go practice first suite for fun :)

Hi peeps, here's a full version of Gustav Holst - First Suite in E flat arranged by Drew Fennell in case you missed any of the movements. Enjoy and see you all tomorrow as usual.

I'm a high school euphonium player and I was supposed to play 1st suite this year, really wanted to play it, it's such a nice piece.

This makes me want to play again, I used to play all the time after college just for fun but my grade school band director who taught me everything about euphonium and pushed me to do honor bands. Taught me for 6 years and still saw him outside of the band world after high school and college died very unexpectedly of a heart attack. It made it very difficult to play cause I would always think of him when I played and couldn't keep playing. Hearing this really brings up good memories and makes me want to try again to pick my instrument up again.

I took up Euphonium 2 years ago, after 50+ years. It's certainly different than when I was 16 but quite enjoyable.

Very enjoyable. I play Tuba and this brought back such nice memories of playing this music years ago.

All of you guys are making me want to go back to playing a Baritone. For years I keep saying I need to buy one and start playing again.

D to E is one of my favorite tuba lines. Just the 2 pattern under the Euphonium is so fun.

What do you use to put the different parts together? I'm trying to do that, but I can't figure out what you are using. If you could tell me what you're using, that would be amazing. Thanks!!

Boi dis awesome. Recorded this arrangement a few days ago and it makes your instrument sound round and whole. If you wanna listen to my recording on bassoon, i'll leave an GDrive link for you to enjoy :)

As a mostly woodwind player, brass is the best point blank 🤷🏾♂️

Amazing arrangement, but it sounds a little artificial. Could y'all explain how much post-production went into this? Thanks in advance.
