just came back after a 1.5 year breake from iracing and have been praticing daytona this week but the traffic in the first lap is really intimidating me to do a race today. but i am glad you said track is so much hotter than usual vus i am nowhere near my times from before.

Get in there, Lewis! Only way to get comfortable is to do it. 👍 Yeah, this week's temps in the IMSA sessions have been very high. I was in a race last night where the track temp was 50 degrees.

going full throttle on pit limiter wastes quite a bit of fuel, like going another unnecessary oval section

Funny you mention that. I've noticed I do it recently in some races where fuel has been pretty key for me.

You are running a rtx 4090 and just getting 150 avg fps and sometimes big dips to 60. Its the game or?

I'm running 14.8M pixels, triple 3440x1440 with a forth monitor for telemetry. Daytona is also notoriously tough on hardware with lots of cars around.
