This is Why I Don't Like Different Drive Modes

Well, you don't HAVE to think about the different drive modes. You could just pick one. Are you also upset because it has multiple radio presets and controls for treble and bass?

Yea that’s why I don’t listen to the radio. Too many choices stresses me out

I honestly cannot detect any difference when I select different modes. I have the R line so it’s all the trim but not the sporty engine. But I’m constantly fukcing around with the modes hoping to notice differences. Maybe it all a gimmick unless you’re in a GTI or R.

Golf R over the S3 only due to having the manual option. Currently happy with my 2017 ST but if I had to replace it, it would probably be a Golf R since Ford removed the Focus for the American market.

When you own one of these it’s usually either Individual or Race Mode. Each mode does have a noticeable effect if the car has all of the options on it.

I have a Passat with pretty much the same modes as yours. I use sport mode all the time, though the only time I really need it is for acceleration when overtaking. I just need to think about the other modes. Otherwise don't notice any impact on fuel consumption, simply because most of the time I am just driving it like everyone else.

Hi, in Golf R mk7.5 custom mode, which mode increases engine performance output, the DCC in Race mode or DRIVE in Race mode.

Hey man, how do you feel about the DSG? Ive owned an mk7 6spd, traded it for my third Civic Si (2017) and looking to buy another GTI with a DSG but im kind of gun shy. Do you miss the stick?

I drive a lot for work so having an automatic is just a better fit for me. If I didn’t drive as much then I am stick all the way. This was only a rental so I still daily my focus ST

@@Gjeebs right, i guess my question would be, would you be happy with the DSG as your only car? Do you feel its lacking in the fun department? I havent gotten much seat time in one. Every vehicle ive ever owned has been a 5 or 6spd.

Aaron Ruble have a little experience there. Previously owned a WRX standard then a ‘17 ST. Turned around and traded for a GTI, which had. DSG. The ST was nice and fun, but the fit and finish in my GTI is worlds apart. I find myself concentrating more on throttle and line going into a tight curve. The shifts are fast and where they need to be. Yes, there are some times I miss my standard shift. But most of the time I don’t. Especially in day to day traffic.

Personally, I would take any Audi S line over a golf. That’s just me though I loved my Audi A4 and wish I bought an s4, awd v6 biturbo

I agree but they start at 45k which is the max an R could be so it’s just a bit of a price bump
