Random comment: Visiting Tulum in low season (mid-summer), you can practically have the place to yourself. Unfortunately mid-day heating makes for strong shore winds. My dream is flying a light-weight fixed-wing drone around Picacho del Diablo (northern Baja). You'd probably have the place to yourself there, too.

I've had a friend go over there.Get shot and killed and they still have his car around.They're supposed to go get it.Yeah, it's crazy down there.I'm surprised you travel like that but you're brave

Mexico has always restricted photography at its national monuments or parks -- maybe handhelds, no drones or tripods. I think they did it to encourage postal card sales and support local photographers, or prevent pillaging.

I was in Playa del Carmen a few months ago and flew my drone I have a mini 3 pro and I launched it from the beach and also from our roof top pool area.. nobody bothered me.

Hi. New to drones and new to your channel. What is your personal experience with flying on Cozumel? We have a trip planned this year to PDC and I'm debating on taking the new drone or not. If I do, I only want to fly on Cozumel. Rent a scooter to run around the island and thought it might be cool to fly at the different stops we make. Thanks. And great channel.

@@DronewithcL Our trip was great. Didn't take my drone but i think it would have been no issue to fly at some spots along Cozumel coast. For anyone interested

TRACIIII! i love cozumel. i haven't cenoted here yet (i just made up that word). but you know what i have done? rented a boat with a captain that took my private party around for snorkeling, paddle boarding and lunch. with a ton of wine. it was epic. cozumel you gotta snorkel! it's too pretty here!

@@DronewithcL Or Tortuga's Cozumel, most of their reviews were pretty decent, a few bad ones here and there which of course you can't make everyone happy. I just don't want it to be an absolute disaster 😂

I'm going to answer this question in a round-about way. But I'll up front say "it's to protect my own safety that I won't reveal their identity" Here's a vague answer that if you put the pieces together, will make sense: I'm about to drop a dozen.. maybe even TWENTY youtube videos about traveling in Tulum. It's ... as a girl who grew up in San Diego would say "traveling there?? it's gnarly braaaaa" It's not easy to travel there. And it's not safe. There's a lot of cartel activity and mixed with the new presence of the military, there is a "war of sorts" happening to see who owns the turf. I reached out to a travel concierge company to help my (travel, not drone) audience figure out how to travel here. To give EXTREMELY expert advise while on the ground. They refuse to tell me who they ACTUALLY are. They won't tell me their name. No where in all their insanely professional marketing materials do they ever show their face. Wildin' right? They messaged me directly on Reddit after I said "I simply cannot send my audience to a faceless person, no matter how much of an expert you are or how many excellent reviews you have. I can't trust someone who's eyes I can't see". And wanna know what they said? Take what I wrote above combined with them ... in this simple and easy context with what would feel like no harm no foul (I mean they're just offering travel advice right?!....) and they refuse to reveal themselves for their own safety. 🧩 🤘🏽

@@DronewithcL That's insane. No matter how beautiful Tulum might be, how can somebody consider that a vacation destination when they are constantly in fear of being robbed or kidnapped or killed? Is that how you felt? There's gotta be hundreds of other places around the world that are just as beautiful where you can feel safe and actually enjoy yourself.
