I loved Dynasty Warrior back in the day!!! and I just installed 3 Kingdoms TW last night, gonna play it today for the first time, I feel like I am gonna love seeing all the characters from dynasty warriors in this different setting :)

Survive was for the other guy. Guan Yu only lost once and it literally took an army to suppress, ambush, and then kill him.

Don’t forget Liu Fang (Beis adopted son) who listened to that general and refused to send reinforcements to Guan Yu ultimately leaving him trapped

@@owengriffin3356 No Liu Fang did the right thing, he conserved his forces and delayed Wei after Guan Yu lost. Had he sent the reenforcements Wei would have advanced much further. Guan Yu acted against advises from Kong Ming.

@@lolasdm6959 he didn’t conserve his forces tho, he willingly defied his uncles orders for reinforcements leaving him and Guan Yu and his son to die, he watched as Yus forces got butchered over and over until it was only him and 50 riders, and even after Guan Yu died he didn’t send any forces or go to face the Wu army, they stayed at their post and refused to send help. If he did send help Guan Yu could’ve escaped the trap and made it back to Shu Capital

@@owengriffin3356 He did conserve his forces, he not only delayed Wei for months after Guan Yu's defeat, he also returned with a large portion of his troops still alive. If he went, he would just have died alongside Guan Yu. Kong Ming wanted him dead because he posed a threat to the new blood son of Liu Bei. Even if he was loyal, his children can be used as a front to destabilize Shu.

@@lolasdm6959 he only came back with his troops after he realised he messed up, also Kong Ming only had suspicions for Wei Yen no one else, plus the rule would’ve been more solidified with Liu Fang rather than Liu Cheng since Cheng didn’t care bout the state but rather wine and women, if Fang sent his troops to Guan Yu then Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Guan Sheng would still be alive since if you remember after Guan Yu died Liu Bei and Zhang Fei were on smoke againest Wu, which caused Zhang Feis death and Liu Beis declining health which ultimately led to KongMings over worked self dying. All of these events took place because Fang refused to help, he only conversed after he realised his mistake. Which by then was to late

only thing I hate about the duel system is the fact you can't refuse a duel without suffering a penalty while the AI can refuse any duel for no cost

I'm pretty sure u could just toggle on the "automatically reject duels" thing and that solves it no?🤔 But then again there's quite a lot of ai privilege in this game. AI troops walk on our territory like it's nothing while they declare war on us when we do the same🤷‍♂️

Secondly thats GUAN YU if you didnt know he and his 2 brothers very good fighters in both game and real life according to text and archivies. So he wind because he can whats the point to be made there exaclty ? Him being strong or you idiotically trying to duel a tiger and a kitten and expect the kitten to win. My dude get a brain.

To this day one of my favorite total wars. And ive been playing since rome 1 and medieval 2. It feels so fluid and its got so much style and flair. Im still salty they discontinued it. I love warhammer, but honestly im bored with it, and i prefer this games engine. Id probably have really liked troy if they used the 3k engine instead of warhammer just bc warhammer was more popular

@@crazychinese7315 They use the same engine, all games since Warhammer 1 have used the same engine. Unfortunately though Creative Assembly doesn't really speak between departments when it comes to developing games. Though one can imagine, the size of Warhammer, the variety of factions like Immortal empires, the diplomacy, dueling and character system of three kingdoms. It would be a hell of a game.
