Iga Swiatek is a 21-year-old Polish professional tennis player. She is ranked the world's number one tennis player by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) she is also the youngest tennis player ranked in the top ten. She won the French Open in 2020 and 2022. She is the first player from Poland who has Grand Slam singles titles in her bag. After winning the grand slam title in 2020 she became the youngest singles champion. Previously, this record was in the bag of Rafael Nadal since 2005. She also became the women’s singles champion which was the record taken by Maria Sharapova in 2004. As a junior, she won French Open girl’s doubles in 2018 with Caty McNally. In the same year, she became the champion of girls’ singles at 2018 Wimbledon. Swiatek began playing regularly on the WTA Tour in 2019, and she entered the top 50 at the age of 18 after reaching her first WTA final and reaching the fourth round of the 2019 French Open. In 2020, during her French Open title, she did not lose more than five games in any singles match. In May 2021 she entered the top ten of WTA rankings for the first time. After winning WTA 1000 titles back-to-back, in May 2022, she reached the career-high ranking of number 2. Then after the retirement of number one player Ashleigh Barty she claimed the top ranking in April 2022. Later in Miami, she also won another WTA 1000 title, becoming the fourth woman to complete the Sunshine Double.

Yes she is, Take a look at what is going to be in WTA afer Sabalenka took a lead. Then you will answer own qestion. I f Sabalenka will hold 75 weeks at nr.1 rank then ok but Swiatek will take it back and I`m courious how she will react. I think it will move back for IGA . IGA game is up to her mood if she wants again nr1 she will get it and that will be a proff that she is best of the best !

I am a great fan of Iga Swiatek. I think she has the ability to stay Number One for many years. She has incredibly quick reflexes, by far the best forehand in the women's game, an excellent backhand, and an improving serve. Her returns are also in the top tier of the women's game. She can volley well, hit overheads well, cover drop shots better than anyone in the women's game. Her own drop shots are fine. And she is obviously a very sweet and likeable person. Coco Gaugh said the only thing that has changed about Iga is that her tennis has improved: she is still the same person. And her commitment to peace and the Ukraine demonstrates her impeccable values. Iga is a superb athlete and a marvelous human being. I wish her good health and a great career.

She is the next superstar. 'Unlike the rest, she has a business approach towards the sport. Most importantly, she is physically fit. She goes on court prepared to play tennis. She can also figure her opponent out during the match. Right now, the rest of the WTA has to catch up to her level of play. Iga is a tennis prodigy. Even when she loses, it is due to her unforced errors, not because her opponent beats her outright. She has a lot of fans because of her playing style and love for the sport, Not because of Ukraine. If anything, she catches more hate because of that. Enough said.

She lost in Wimbledon so we know she's not perfect and must learn how to play on the grass. But I believe she know it as well. I think she's a person who can learn quickly from her defeats. Anyone can give up, but not Iga.

She lost the game with Cornet at Wimbledon 2022 by playing as if she was a rookie not a player with several years of experience that she actually is. Swiatek was not mentally and tactically prepared for this game. Her team has a lot to answer for this silly loss. Swiatek simply passed the great opportunity to win Wimledon almost without the fight. Such opportunity may never come along again.

I like iga, but I don't believe iga is the best player , cause the wta field is weak right now. Barty retire, naomi not playing, serena retire, jenifer nowhere to be found, this is the reason iga is dominating . Next year when barty serena and naomi comeback we will see if iga can win a slam. Iga name will be silent. No more jokes.
