My wife and I brought my 18 years old daughter and 15 years son for the first time for 12 days vacation in China and they love it so much. Coming back home they requested that they wanted to study Chinese language after they have completed their university. They have felled in live with China just after their first trip. They have been to Japan. S. Korea, Australia, Singapore but never have they requested to go again. Except China.

If you see an enclosure with more than one panda, they are probably below 2 years old because they can get aggressive to each other after that. Those people who are rushing from the entrance are probably making a beeline to see He Hua (Lotus), the most famous/popular panda there because she has no neck and look like a triangular rice cake.

you really did your homework for this trip 😉. you not only dodge crazy crowds at the panda center, but got to see them fairly active considering they are pretty lazy animals. chengdu is surrounded by rivers and mountains so most of the year it's overcast a lot of the time. maybe you can relate being from the uk? there's an idiom that goes like a dog barking at the sky, basically meaning that blue skies are so rare even dogs rejoice upon seeing it lol. looking at the weather and blossoms, seems this was recorded a few weeks back? you mentioned xinjiang as a destination? that will be interesting to see 🙂. 100k countdown, let's gooo!

One thing Chengdu impressed me a lot was I could clearly see snow capped mountains as the sky cleared while staying in the downtown. This is quite rare for a mega city. After checking the map found out the highest peak in Sichuan province is just approximately 150miles linear away from Chengdu reaching an altitude over 24000ft.

I mentioned Taikooli when you guys were in Chunxilu, because the two malls are next to each other. You can see the 3D video come out of the building. It’s also where the Apple Store is located. It’s the place where beautiful people wearing fashionable clothes get their images videoed by videographers for Chinese social media.

Although they are called pandas（熊猫 bear cat）, they are not cats in nature, but bears. They can run at 20 miles per hour in mountains at an altitude of 3,000 meters, climb trees, swim, and will not be injured if they fall from a 10-meter-high tree. They are vegetarians, but they are still carnivores at heart. Their teeth and claws are very dangerous. They are beasts at heart, but they just look cute.

I knew you both will be back 3 rd time- I m Indian origin American- just finished my 3 rd trip to China- March 21 to April 9 - visited Guizhou province for Mount Fanjing and awesome spring blossom- pls look up - Pingba farm cherry garden, Baili Azalea forest and rape seed flowers blossoms- you should consider for your next spring. And btw, when you were in Tianjin, i recommend you to do coin test in train - i did that on April 6 on train from Beijing to Wuhan, and it works (😂) Enjoy your trip- I m enjoying your videos and honest opinion

The little red pandas are cute too. The red pandas are allowed to cross path from one enclosure to another. In my last visit, One of them crossed in front of me like a proud fat cat. You might have missed the nursery. I saw some new born baby pandas sleeping in the baby crib, they are so cute. The sign says “Please do not make loud noise. Please do not toss food” in direct translation.

Sun does not come with the pandas. It modifies the enclosures or houses because it's beautiful. For example, "旭日馆" or literally "rising sun houses", gives you a stunning morning sun image. BTW, for anyone who wants to go to the Chengdu panda base and does not have a particular panda in mind, I highly recommend you enter from the West Gate because it's far less crowded. 10:00 am and 2:00 pm are the best time for watching pandas having snacks. And it takes you about 30 minutes by foot to go to the Star Nursery House where you could see cubs and their moms. When the temperature increases above 26°C, you may see pandas indoors and most adult pandas are not as active as you would see them at lower temperatures.

Since you are already in Chengdu, you can visit Chongqing City, Leshan Giant Buddha (a city that is closed to Chengdu), Qingcheng Mountain (one of the birth places of Taoism China in Dujiangyan city), Dujiangyan Dam, Giant Panda Conservation and Research Center (Dujiangyan city) etc. Moreover, the roadtrip to Tibet from Chengdu is a great adventure but a bit complex! I have been to Sichuan province for many times and it has lots of beautiful places and natural scenery to explore! Enjoy yourself in China!
