This is the only state who fought 1000years continuously against Muslim invaders.... specially mewad*** region in rajasthan, India
@odomangulati707910 ай бұрын
That is not true. Literally every state in India fought for a 1000 years against islamic invasion. Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Assam, Madya pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, etc. Also the Rana's of Jaipur became vassals of the Mughals and gave their daughter in marriage. It was Mewat and its Rana who fought the Mughals and no other Rajput came to his help. Only the tribals of the Bhil community came to his help. This is why, of all the Rana's of Rajputana, ONLY Rana Pratap is called MAHA-RANA Pratap. This is why the Maratha's imposed a chauth on the Rajputs which was 1/4th total revenue. The Rajputs were forced to tax 50% of all produce as tax called Zabt to the mughals. Apart from that, there were other rural taxes known as jihat and sairjihat, furuat and abwab.

This is probably one of the few places I would have recommended getting a guide because the story of the palace is not clearly written anywhere (perhaps Google has it, never checked). Anyway, legend was that the king here had multiple wives and he built these narrow secret passage ways so he could visit each of them in private without the other wives taking notice and getting jealous. Then there is some story about the courtyard too that I don't fully remember :P But nice video as everytime. I love how Shelbs is so upbeat about every little thing!
@teedee83324 ай бұрын
Yes definitely agree. This was the place to really research or if not, take a guide. The buildings and pavilions all have a purpose/use and the history behind each just adds to your understanding. Palace of mirrors, Kings apartment, Women only section etc. A guide would have been the way to go for you both at Amber Fort.

I didn't get that bit about Uber. Never had a problem with the pricing; after all, I am putting in the destination, and the app calculates the distance, applies the rate for that period, including peak pricing, and tells you and you agree before booking. After you've booked the driver can't do a damn. He can cancel and leave you high and dry, and looking for a replacement - I have had a delay of more than an hour, after three cancellations, one after another. It might - barely might - happen if you are booking for an hour or for two, or more, as there is a limit to how far they will take you within that selected period. If you go beyond the distance allowed, there's a premium, or an overcharge, actually, strictly defined by Uber, and strictly computed by Uber. If one of the drivers turns rough-neck and demands a higher price, the thing to do is to cancel and to report him.
