Taiwan is my favorite country to visit, along with Japan. The food there is great, the places are clean, transportation is so easy, prices are relatively cheap, all around the weather is good, the people are so friendly, arguably even nicer than the people here in the Philippines.

Taiwanese pancake breakfast usually comes with that brown sauce on top, ask them for it next time. It’s like a garlicky sweet soy sauce.

Those radish cakes you had for breakfast are made from rice flour, daikon (popular Japanese name for big white radish), and often flavored with shiitake mushrooms and dried tiny shrimp.

@@2Passports1Dream FYI The word for radish and turnip is the same in Mandarin and carrot is translated as red radish/ turnip as opposed to white for the original. So that's why you both had 3 English translations 😂 If you return to Sydney or Brisbane - you can find Taiwanese breakfast here (maybe Melbourne too). Brisbane has a neighbourhood called Sunnybank which is also known as Little Taipei. One of Brisbane's sister cities is in fact Kaohsiung (both have a subtropical climate).

Yeah, Hualian is pretty much the earthquake capital of Taiwan. They typically have "feelable" quakes there weekly. I was walking down the street there a couple years ago when a big one hit (I think it was a 6.4). Certainly got my attention. Whenever Hualian gets a 5+ quake, we can usually feel it where I live in Tainan on the opposite side of the island.

Welcome to Taiwan. My hometown is in Hualien. For the train from Hualien to Taipei, each business class passenger can get one snack and drink for free. The first whole package is for one person so they give you another(pineapple and apple cakes)for the other person. Also for drinks, you can choose coffee, tea, or sparkling as you get. If you take the train during lunch or dinner time, maybe you can choose the lunch box(vegetarian also provided), and you can choose what you want when you book the seats on line. I’m so sorry the service staff can not speak English. Thanks for visiting Taiwan, and hope to seeing you next time in Taiwan.

You guys are really awesome. Very few foreign tourists can circle Taiwan in 7 days. 2:20 Apart from Taipei, many places in Taiwan still lack sidewalk construction. Only in recent years has the government paid attention to the construction of sidewalks. 9:17 Many of Taiwan's doll clamping machines require a lot of skills to clamp the doll out, so it's really difficult. 9:43 This tastes like Yakult 12:11 There are many types of mangoes in Taiwan. Mangoes are not all yellow, there are also red and green mangoes. This should be a green mango. 18:50You can try taiwanese style sausages (a little sweet) and papaya milk, the most classic night market snacks in Taiwan. 23:54 When booking Taiwan Railway tickets, you can order a Taiwan Railway lunch box. It is very delicious. You can try it next time. When booking tickets for Taiwan Railway’s business class, you can choose free meals and lunch boxes for free. If you book a ticket I had no choice but to take whatever was left after getting on the train. 41:35 This is radish cake right 43:29 There is a famous scenic spot in Hualien called Qixingtan(七星潭). It is on the seaside and next to the air force base. You can see the beautiful seaside and fighter planes flying low and landing at the air force base next to it. You can go there next time if you have a chance. 44:15 The issue of uncomfortable train chairs has caused a lot of discussion in Taiwanese society recently, so the Taiwan Railway Company is also preparing to replace the chairs. Finally, I welcome you guys come to Taiwan again and thank you guys make such a nice video. we welcome you guys back to Taiwan to travel again anytime. I wish you all the best in your future travels, and I also wish you guys Merry Christmas.

The green thing in the shaved mango ice is also mango. It is made from pickling not so ripen mango with sugar to give it a crunchy texture. The QR code scanning part is 😂😂😂 It's called 蘿蔔糕(radish/daikon) It's translate as carrot cake because we call 🥕 紅蘿蔔 which directly translate to red carrot. The type of radish in radish cake is 白蘿蔔, which means white radish.

The feeling of watching the sun rise on the horizon of the eastern coast is still memorable because some of my classmates who live in Taitung have had the opportunity to do so. Congratulations to the two of you who have traveled around Taiwan, it has changed a lot, and I personally feel that this kind of indigenous feeling is very fresh, especially listening to political programs, using subtitles, and watching a country that we are familiar with but unfamiliar with. In principle, Taiwan has changed for the better, but it is a pity that from next year onwards, we will probably have to enjoy wars and earthquakes of the level of extinction that seldom happen in history; if we can be the survivors at the end of next year, I believe we can see a better Taiwan, thanks for your hard work!

I can see both of you are nice people. But from some of comments in other videos, I saw you put “love” signs for those harassing comments from Chinese viewers. This is really hurting Taiwan, and you are basically supporting China to invade Taiwan someday. If you really love Taiwan, please recognize the truth that Taiwan is NOT part of China. China is a communist country without human rights and freedom. On the contrary, Taiwan is classified as a “total free” country by the NGO “House of Freedom”. Taiwan even has a higher democracy index than lots of western developed countries. China is currently harassing Taiwan everyday with air fighters. Enjoy your stay in Taiwan!
