More in detail... Hiranyakashipu had a boon that, if one drop of his blood spills on ground, an equivalently powerful Hiranyakashipu will arise from it. So, Lord Narasimha drank all his blood, thus getting the characteristics of millions of Rakshashas. When Rishis requested Lord Shiva, he first sent Prathyangara devi to pacify Lord Narasimha, which she couldn't accomplish. But, with her advice on Physiology of Lord Narasimha, Lord Shiva took Sarabesh form and faced Lord Narasimha. When Sarabesh roared in front of, even Lord Narasimha taken into few seconds of spell, which Lord Sarabesh took advantage to piece a hole in Lord Narasimha's nose to drink all blood of Hiranyakashipu (reason for taking format of a bird). When Lord Narasimha got pacified, Prahalad and other Devas chanted him to bring him back to Godly state, so Godess Lakshmi could take her abode. This is the reason why we do not do Pooja to Aghora Narasimha and bestow only to Lakshmi Narasimha or equivalent. Lord Shiva and Lord Narayana had assisted each other whenever there is a necessity of Dharam to be reinstated and Shakti had always been an catalyst to accomplish it. Om Namashivaya... One side shows the value of the coin while the other shows the sovereignty of the nation to which the coin belongs. Both are dependent on each other.And one cannot exist in the absence of the other! After slaying the demon Asura King Hiranyakashipu using his claws and nails, Lord Narasimha has ripped off the belly of the Asura King and like a lion bitten off the inside of the Asura King with his sharp teeth and taken out chunks of flesh to slay the demon. It is said that the contaminated blood of the Asura affected Narasimha and he started to become very violent and failed to recognise his own devotee small boy Prahlad who was the son of Asura King Hiranyakashipu. The Gods tried to pacify Lord Vishnu who had taken the form of Narasimha Body of the human and head of a lion and prayed him to revert back to his original form and get back to vaikuntha loka. Unfortunately it couldn't happen and he was wandering around destroying and becoming more and more violent. The Demi Gods prayed to Lord Shiva and asked him to help. It was a very tough decision for Lord Shiva and he tried to calm down Narasimha but realised that Lord Vishnu has forgotten himself and the only way he can end this misery for everyone and to restore balance and get lord Vishnu back was to slay Narasimha. So Lord Shiva takes the form of Sarabheshwar as described in this video 🙏🙏
