There will be no bridge same reason the Pan American highway still has a gap of a couple dozen km's in the Darian Gap. The economic benefits are seen as negligible compared with the expected cost of 'unwanted migration'.

A bridge connecting Africa to Spain...I don't think so...I see the potential similar to USA and Mexican border conflicts. Please don't even if the currents were more stable. Put it to a vote in Europe...I'm certain the majority will say "hell no!!" No tunnels, no bridge, nothing!!

If they really wanted to, the Chinese would be able to pull it off, they have already built some remarkable bridges. Or in a couple of years, they plates might move together, then we wont need a bridge

You missing the point tho... according to many socioeconomics, Africa as to stay poor and third for our societies thrive... building a bridge to facilitate commerce and development is really really not in the agenda of the peoples that are able to finance such a project... Yes they already lend money and keep attracting investor from both shore...for something they know for sure nerver to happen
