India also donated millions of dollars to the Palestinian people, right from Yasser Arafat's days. Several times India also tried to convince Arafat to make peace with Israel and accept the 2 nation theory. But he refused this offer everytime. The Palestinians, in the last 75 years are mostly living on humanitarian aid money sent by other countries. But their blind hatred of Israel and radical islamic thinking, has ruined every peace effort. In the 1970s Jordan helped them, but they returned the favor by assassinating a key politician in Jordan. Now USA, UK, Germany etc have taken in around 5 million of these so called Palestinian refugees. But these countries are facing the brunt of the violence created by these Palestinians. No country should provide any refuge to such people.

Before I traveled to Israel in 2002, I too had pro-Palestinian/anti-Israel leanings (in my misinformed youth). But once I got there, I quickly realized I had no idea what was actually going on in and around Israel, and that the situation was far more complex than I had imagined. There's no way anyone can really know from afar. Going there gives you the best chance of forming a truly educated opinion. And you will see that Israelis are a peace-loving and family-oriented people, with few exceptions. Thanks again from a non-religious Protestant from the USA who is married into a Jewish family.

Excellent summary of how the present conflict arose. A horrendous situation. It is really interesting to put the original names to the regions. As someone who grew up with a Christian outlook from reading the bible it brings home the fact that Jews and Arabs have lived together in that region for centuries peacefully. As for the protestors, the vast majority are young indoctrinated sheep. They can only regurgitate what they have been fed. When they have lived longer and experienced a bit more of life I would hope they would not be so willing to support any terrorist organisation. It is in the name, they create terror. The maker of this video did a great job simplifying a very complex situation, his efforts deserve much recognition and praise. Now, from a different angle I will simplify it even more... i was born and raised in California, U.S.A. during the year 1968. This is about as far removed from the holy land as one can get. As far back as I can recall the 'Palestinians' for lack of a better name have attacked Israel over and over and in the process have killed multitudes of innocents who were from neither Israel or any Arab state I know of, violated world gatherings of peace (the Olympics in '72 I believe) and churlishly rejected deal after deal crapping on the peace efforts of world leader after world leader and used Israeli concessions for no other purpose than to launch more sneak attacks. Lets not forget the repeated pattern of every time they attack (99,9% of the time without provocation-probably 100% but I will give the benefit of the doubt that possibly there is that 1%-I have not been made aware of any episode that supports even this. so...) when Israel justifiably responds with force the Palestinians cry and wail, peeing their pants like infants that they are the victims. This is what I have observed. Now for the simple part, when I was young I asked my grandmother one day a battery of questions about all this as well as the holocaust after watching yet another news report about some bombing or hi-jacking somewhere perpetrated by Arafat's cronies, her answer was straight forward and has remained with me as a maxim ever since. She said..."Never forget that they (the nation of Israel) are Gods chosen people, Don't F**k with the Jews. The Lord looks favorably upon those who stand by HIS people" Those were her exact words. I think history has shown this to be true. So, that has always been the bottom line for me-Do not mess with Israel or if you do, you risk the wrath of God. They were promised by him that land. Call me crazy, but it gets no simpler than that. So, to my Christian friends-read what the bible says and get with the program. And to any Palestinians that may read this-Quit behaving like a$$holes and give up on your goal of Israel's destruction-perhaps if you worked together with your neighbors for something other than that your lives may improve. Yes, I watched the video to the end. I had to pause it a few times, for two reasons. Firstly, I needed to think about, and understand the history of this complicated situation. I'm British, and I was sorry to learn that the British were responsible for it a century ago. Secondly, I had to pause because I felt overwhelmed by the inhumanity of war. Very complex and contradictory issues explained in simple and unbiased way. However, none of this was ever covered in public school, nor by my parents. Perhaps my aprents did not understand the Middle East enough to explain. It's the little things that color history and connect the dots. As far as the middle east is concerned, like US migrants funding families back home, the Muslim nation appears to be doing that worldwide on a scale that is dangerous since intentions appear to be hostile. I'm not a supporter of Israel in any way, shape, or form. I'm a scholar of history, so I only examine the facts of the situation, without any religious or ethnic influences. If any country is attacked by terrorists, they have the absolute right to defend themselves, and destroy them where they hide, to stop it from happening again.

It's a far stretch to think these people are just out there wasting time and energy on something they know nothing about. You should assume that they do stand for a legitimate cause even if you disagree. It's easy to be against the slaughter of non combatant civilians. That is who they are concerned for as Israel bombs indiscriminately. That is a war crime. There is no human shields as Israel claims. If that was there strategy, then it would be wise not to bomb them when they have Israeli hostages as they would be the first to be used as shields. You have to think beyond what Israel is telling you. They still bombed every hospital without knowing where the hostages were or they did know and didn't care, or they knew all along that human shields is not a real strategy that hamas uses in war. Israel doesn't make any sense. This is clearly to cover up their war crimes.

Americans are ignorant because it’s so far removed from their little world and as long as something doesn’t effect them immediately they don’t have an interest.
