Knox is the realest reactor on KZbin. I grew up in the poor and violent streets of Compton in the 80's and 90's. I got the privilege to meet tupac before he passed away, it's something that I will always remember. He was a poet, lyricist and the single greatest and most important artist to me . I miss him everyday. 🙏😪

Thank you Knox for all you do. In silence I am following you for a while. Tupac hits home. I am an Italian, as a teen in Italy in early 90s, listening Tupac and finding ways for translating his lyrics from English to Italian (there was no google!) was a way to feel the connection to the world. Music unite and we will always needed. And Tupac was a wonderful lyricist. Shout out to all musicians and in these days the independent one: thank you! Indeed musicians bring to light empowerment and solutions. ❤

It would have been amazing to see Pac and Bruce perform or write a version of this track that highlights both versions. Grew up loving Bruce and and Range’s version and then Pac came out and I was obsessed with his music. When Changes dropped I was hooked from the first day I heard it. Miss Pac and his vision. To me he was the MJ of Hip Hop/Rap. The messages in his music are so deep.

Definitely a power in solidarity. I felt it, but would also listen to this track to 'change' my frame of mind because Pac was always fighting for us and injustice, so I felt that it was a message for me to do the same. I did a report on this track on my high school history class, about things that were currently taking place then. This song has been so impactful to me and my music throughout many years and you reacting to it rn is in perfect timing. Thank you. I'm so happy you're reacting to this now as well because, there are still many who didn't get to experience his music like we did. I know you were worried about doing the reaction justice but you covered it beautifully. This track has a message with every line, all important imo, and you covered it. I also appreciate how you explained how things were then, like the Mobil phone being something that the rich had, as the younger generation growing up in this day and age most likely wouldn't know. Some things will never change makes just the same amount of sence as things will never be the same, ín the sence that a lot of what he was talking about hadn't changed still, while some has in comparison to gang violence, but the only change about the drug epidemic is its gotten worse and racial profiling is about the same, though I think more is hidden to make it look like it's gotten better for those who don't know. Thank you again.

I used to work with an old school black man, he became a really good friend of mine while we were there and we talked a lot about race relations and music and this is the main song that we bonded over. The last day that I worked with him this song came on in his car on our way to lunch and we just sang it together, unity between two men who have seen some shit and want peace between people. Pac wanted everyone to come together and for the country and by extension the world to be better. R.I.P. to a true legend. We could really use a Tupac today.

Check out "I wonder if heaven got a ghetto" ( hip hop version ) Pac wrote it in 1992
@chaunceycrosby51714 күн бұрын
Man.. I was a teen when this came out. Live in indiana and this hit me even then. Pac opened a window into his world. Let us see what people go through. Spoke on the dark side of that gang life. Spoke to all of us about the hatred in the hearts of men. He wasn't just a smart dude. He knew how to talk so EVERYONE could understand his point of view. Yeah I'm a white guy, and I've never lived a gang lifestyle. I have however lived broke asf, wondering if I would eat that day. Having my lights and heat shut off cause I couldn't pay. Living out of a car, which I only still had because it was wrecked and they didn't want to repo it. Do I feel like I know the struggle of the ghetto? No, not really. I've been poor though, and I can relate to what pac is saying here because I have had a glimpse of it. He paints a very vivid picture of the life style with his words. I was flabbergasted when Rodney king was beaten. I didn't understand what he had done to be beaten by the police like that.. it was then that I realized how dangerous racism is. From both sides. I truly hope we can make that change. It's time for all of us to take a look in the mirror and get ourselves right before we step out in the world and interact. Peace and love.
