I can remember in lion king part two when simba defeated scar and became king and apparently covo who was chosen by scar was to follow in his foot path and try to destroy Simba but he didn't let scar evil spirit get to him covo mother wanted revenge on Simba but covo denied it and became part of Simba's pride and fall in love with Simba daughter covo even had a look like scar but he did the right thing and protect Simba and fall in love with his daughter and is now part of his pride

The venom brought out Scar's desire for power, his greediness, his jealousy and annoyance towards Mufasa. However, the bite and resulting venom only removes moral restraints and amplifies negative traits and desires; for example, his jealously for Mufasa had already existed, but the venom that brought it out more eventually turned it into murderous hatred. In addition, Scar was already proven to be envious and power-hungry before being infected as he was willing to work with another lion to overthrow Mufasa as king due to his jealousy. There's also the fact that unlike Kion, Scar didn't seek any treatment for the venom that was infecting him and allowed himself to fall into depravity which shows he became that way by choice. So even without the cobra's venom, Scar would still become the villain he is today either way by jealously and desires for the throne. So there you have it.

Hey, we discussed both reasons how scar would've gotten his scar according to the book and according to the lion guard series in the video (03:50). His true name was Taka, we also read that in the book and in the trailer for the new lion king film (Mufasa) it is also confirmed that his name was Taka. Askari was the first leader of the lion guard, the lion that discovered the roar of the elders

I think the vemon from the snake from "The Lion Guard" drove Scar into the evil lion that we see in "The Lion King," and before Scar got bit he was good at his job at being leader of his own lion guard.

The way I remembered it, that tale of two brothers story had Scar get the scar BECAUSE he set Mufasa up... or was it that they both got stuck in a mudhole and his dad scarred him because he was "irresponsible" with Mufasa's life.... there was more to it than that... and this is why the lion guard has so many holes for me - we never saw Kion in the sequel movie so they just shoved him in there without patching that up - even though, they could've just made him Kiara's son or younger brother and it would've been fine.... idk guys, I feel like this still doesn't quite add up.

In Pinterest It showed that Taka got his scar from his father when he caught Taka hanging out with & being chummy with the hyenas his dad disapproved & when Taka wouldn't back down his dad swiped his claw across Taka's face. Both his mate & brother Mufasa were shocked & horrified at what their dad had done he was even shocked himself he tried to apologize to Taka but Taka was never the same after that. He never spoke to his father again his father was very regretful for what he did to his son he tried to apologize but true to his word Taka stopped talking to his father & Taka changed his name to Scar, Mufasa still tried to talk to & get his brother back but Scar became angry & bitter.
