Yup you can gap really hard with support it's crazy. You can make someone mvp with lvl 7 gems against 20 more ilvl and lvl 10 gems assuming two players have the same skill if one has a good support vs a bad support, the difference is that huge. Sometimes when I spectate supports it's actually hard to watch. They have 30 seconds with no brand applied to the boss, no single use of identity buff and poor atk buff uptime. Dps can suck too but it's just worse for the whole raid if one party is missing half their damage because support is sleeping

One thing i wish was helpful is it's hard, as a support, to know if I'm doing well. I've got a 1615 Bard with LWC30/MOS30, level 9 gems, level 5 tripods etc. I'd love to know if I was doing literally anything helpful as Radiant Support feesl random.

Yeah unfortunately even radiant supporter is dependent on your DPS party mates. If the other party’s DPS is heavily outdamaging yours then you’re unlikely to get it, even if your uptime is near perfect.

Hate to be that guy but I had this same problem until I got dps meter. Needless to say playing sup feels 10x better when you can actually see what you're contributing.

Dude I feel this, I had to grind los30, lwc30 and mos30 (it took over a year and a half as a f2p) and like...yeah it just doesn't feel good to never see it lmao.

Yes 100% agree if the support is good the party will also good it was vice versa not only gives your party DPS and Deffence but it also give you Real life Confidence in any Raid that was the fact

won't believe u before. but yesterday i came across a cracked support that made my jaw drop. the entire party's dps is cracked.

Well yeah, supports' main job in raids is to provide damage buffs, of course they're gonna be bigger than you getting a bit more damage from investing in gems or quality or whatever. That's like saying the biggest damage buff you can get is to play with 4 players rather than 3 players in a party, more or less. And yes, there's a significant gap between a good support and a bad one, but that's to be expected of a player diff, otherwise you might as well have your support piloted by a literal dog. If anyone wants to change this, fights in lost ark would need to fundamentally change to make supports pivot more towards the classic healer role, and as such semi-unavoidable damage would have to have a much bigger presence. Support toolkits would have to be pretty much completely re-designed, as well as every encounter. I doubt this will ever happen unless they decide to go with this design for a lost ark 2.

This game support design is terrible, we just exists to be a dps boost and we are so powercreep that the DPS cannot do damage without support. This is just to appeal to people that doesnt like to do damage and think that will heal. After doing behemoth i noticed how terrible is it since I could save so many runs by just healing, but if i do that, the DPS simply cannot fucking kill a boss that they overgear and I have to deal with their 7 potions.
