I don’t think she was involved in the actual murder, and was definitely afraid of them if she said anything at the time, but I don’t think she was an innocent bystander.

I already knew this case and it is so sad and disturbing! It was a complete trap and what’s sad is the last thing she said to her mom was I love you before going into the car to hang out with her “friend” having no idea what was in store for her! Mr.Ballen is great but he’s focusing way too much on Laura which that wasn’t the case, Laura was a follower, she was cracking the whole time! Karen was the one that Missy grew up with and it wasn’t just because she “slept with her boyfriend” or wanted to keep tabs on the case for why she stayed with them, it’s obvious that Karen wanted to become Missy, she was sleeping in her bed, wearing her clothes, she was obsessed. Karen was already a teen mom and already losing her youth and “beauty” so she was extremely jealous of Missy. The first thing the hikers found was actually Missy’s chopped hair in the lake and then they found her body. The investigators also suspected the two of them early on but had no proof to go on, Laura was constantly changing her story and they pretty much knew it had to be girls because not that many men would chop the hair off, that’s a complete vain issue. The reason why Eva finally came forward was because her brother had recently committed suicide and really understood her families pain and couldn’t keep it in anymore despite being threatened by them. It’s still very unclear why they brought Eva that day. To this day Karen swears that she didn’t do anything other the push her which is complete crap! You can’t tell me that Laura could have picked up a 100 pound log, drag in the lake and put it over Missy by herself and Eva witnessed them beating her up. And she shows absolutely no remorse or regret, you watch interviews and she doesn’t cry or anything. Oh and she claims she never lived with the family but again don’t believe her, why would they make that up!

Does it matter? Laura went along with it, she brutalized Missy. She still took part in the murder and feeling remorse isn't worth shit at that point. She's bad at being consistent in her lies but so many murderers in Pig's videos were also bad at keeping details straight through their lies. Karen was horrible too and he went over that but being a follower doesn't excuse any of what Laura did.

I haven’t heard much from Laura as much as Karen and she angers me every time. I couldn’t imagine what Missy went through that day, the horror she must have felt. She thought Laura was her friend and she betrayed her and for what over some guy!

I read Karen’s book once it was free and it’s completely filled with lies. She expects people to believe that Laura did it all by herself. Laura was a follower, not a leader by ALL accounts in the trial.

JUST yesterday I was picking my daughter up from high school and as soon as school got out 2 girls got into one of the worst brawls I’ve ever seen 😳 it was right next to my car and it took 3 grown men… one a HUGE security guard.. to pull them apart. Then they let one go and she charged the other girl again like a Tasmanian Devil. This girl was about 5 feet tall and maybe 95 lbs. Had it not been broken up.. one of them would be dead for sure

I think people of today are so used to seeing filtered and FaceTuned pics of people with full faces of makeup now. Back then, people were more about natural beauty. You could have unconventional looks and still be considered pretty. I always hated my unconventional looks as a teen but people thought I was pretty.
