It's not their choice, it's that of Amazon's. Amazon calculate how long the average viewer can stay interested without switching off, which equates to value for money in regards to what they pay the Grand Tour team (which is an extremely large amount) Personally I agree with you, I'd watch something 4 hours long if they made it, but not everyone else would. Amazon needs to find a balance between keeping people interested, and getting value for their investment in the show

As much as I appreciate edited content. I would happily watch Grand Tour episodes that are 3-4 hours long. Daily, probably multiple episodes a day. 1000-1 ratio is insane and all that wonderful content you three think is drivel, is gold to us.

Imagine thousands of hours of video footage. Even in 1080P it's going to be Terabtes of data, if not more. Now remember it's shot in 4K. Even the best computer in the world would take a long time to process, and render thousands of hours of 4K footage into an editing suite. You can only throw so much money at a computer build before you reach maximum bandwidth data transfer rates.

I watch the show for those hours of them 3 talking. The chemistry, and conversation between the 3 of them is absolutely the best part. I love cars, work on them daily, and own a shop, but them talking and going on is exactly why I've watched everything the three of them have been in together
