Bailiwick of Guernsey shipwrecks is an independent scuba diving channel and gives everyone the opportunity to come diving with us. Diving with an underwater camera give the viewer and dry, warm, cost free, and enjoyable dive looking at shipwrecks, marine life and occasional salvage operations in all locations of the Bailiwick of Guernsey including Alderney, Sark and Herm. JP has been diving for 15 + years and is fully qualified in recreational diving as well as technical diving. The channel is light-hearted with occasional humour and is not a how to dive or based solely on the skill of scuba diving but it use, to gains access to the oceans depths. JP is a recreational diver and does not earn money from scalloping or fishing.
JP enjoys Shipwrecks and are at the top of his list for filming, documenting, and exploring and this can be seen on our Facebook page. The sea life is a close second with many species to be seen such as: Crayfish, Lobster, Brown crab, Spider crab, Hermit crab, Bass, Pollack, Bream, Wrasse, Turbot, Brill, Sole, Top knot, Blonde Ray, Conger, Gurnard, Monkfish, Cuckoo wrasse, Mackerel, Octopus, Cuttlefish, Squid, Starfish, Scallops, Clams, Oyster, Hard coral and soft, Seaweeds, Gobies, Blenny’s, and many more. Maritime structures also get researched and explored such as lighthouses, piers, forts, caves and reefs. Guernsey life is relaxed and has a long and strong connection with the sea.

Camera and lights: Insta360 ace pro, Go Pro 8, 9, 10, 11 with Mares EOS 10 RW 1000 lumens x 2, Attachments Flip 12 Pro package with 15 + macromate len.
Dive equipment: Apex regs, Otter dry suit and Northern diver, Diverite wings, Faber tanks, Perdix shearwater dive computer.

Every dive has a different feeling to it based on what the weathers like, how many divers are on the boat etc etc. From the moment I woke up to getting back in the harbour was nice a quiet and relaxing so tried to edit this dive with that in mind. 👍🏻😉

Just love how the captain of the boat brought her in and she just burn her butt right around against the dock, the sand eel boat that was pretty nice, and just rather and then turn the right up against the edge of the dock. Oh, that’s good driving a boat😂😂

That must be a lonely life out on that little island with the lighthouse. It’s pretty view, but I must be pretty rough and bad weather is one good thing about being the only one on that little island. Nobody’s gonna bother you the dog will never get lost, unless it falls in the ocean.😮😮😮

The small Island is Jethou and is owned by Sir Peter Ogden. A small island with only one house. Really nice relaxing island which you can only get on with permissions. 😂

Richard has two boats. This one’s a little bigger than the other one 0 the job is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, all the wildlife, eating all the fish and all the other little critters that live down below.. I saw the doctor about my head. He wanted to know why the emergency room put such a big cast on my hand for a little break and two of the finger bones one was broken free just a chip and the other one was still in place he said the emergency room did overkill I didn’t need a cast for a cracked bone and a chip. The swelling is gone down in the hand. The color is still not pretty but it’s not broken to the point where they thought it was some people just like to go overboard on something that isn’t half as bad as they make it out to be I’m fine. I’ve already gone out fishing. The head doesn’t hurt much at all.😂😂😊

Hi JP, what make are the strobe lights you use.

I use a Mares EOS strobe, Ok in terms of brightness but cons are that they corrode very quickly and the switches play up after being about one years old. All of us have used these strobes and all have had the same issues. For the price a little steep but a great middle of the road strobe. Thanks for watching
