To me Tao had the best character arc this season. Wasn't a huge fan in S1 but definitely one of my favs in S2 (behind Nick and Charlie - of course)

To play devils advocate for Elle, I can understand why Elle was not happy with the date. After the movie Tao basically tore apart a movie she likes and he wasn’t being himself, from Elle’s perspective. To Elle that would, or could, seem like he was trying to hard. As for the way Tao reacted to the new friends, his mom in episode 2 talked about how they lost his dad, so I attribute that to his reaction about them being there. Selfishly I want episode 4 to end with Charlie actually cussing.

Also, to add to the reason maybe why Tao acted that way is because in Tao's eyes, the past couple of weeks Elle has been ditching him to hang out with them, and avoiding him and making up excuses to not hang out with him, He doesn't know that from Elle's perspective, she was trying to put some space between them so she could get over her crush on him which at the time she thought was unrequited. And because he doesn't know that, it really does look like to him that she's found new friends and has gone off with them and forgotten he existed, and having to see them at the party she really wanted to go to on top of having a really bad/awkward date, it's no wonder he snapped and acted this way.

“Eurotunnel” is a rail link under the English Channel connecting Great Britain with Europe. You can catch a passenger train from central London to Paris or Brussels, or drive a car / coach onto a shuttle train between Folkestone UK and Calais France. Time in the tunnel under the sea is about 35 mins.

I don't know where they are supposed to be in England but Paris is about 6 hours from London. A tunnel was built under the Channel (kinda nicknamed "chunnel" for a bit). I guess cars/buses go onto the train and the train goes through the tunnel. So the train might make things faster to get to Paris.

Hopefully everyone might have noticed a little in-joke made by the production team? The short moment between Charlie and Nick's mother, where Nick's mother says Nick caught a bit of sunstroke when out walking Nellie - this was done because Kit in real life is has very sensitive skin and gets sunburnt a lot. We have seen the photos from his time in Los Angeles, under the California sun.

11:44 I think Elle is struggling because she has liked Tao for so long but then he was giving mixed signals. When he finally asked her out, he had completely changed himself but she liked the "old Tao" as he was. I'm sure it's frustrating. Plus she has made some new friends and she's got a lot going on with planning for the next year. A lot of misunderstanding going on between Elle and Tao.

Every reactor who hasn't read the books always complains about how Tao didn't let Nick and Charlie sleep together, they need to be in separate beds in order for there to be specific scenes from the books. Originally Tao doesn't know that Nick and Charlie are dating until a little while into the Paris trip.
