This episode is so, so, so, cool … as Duca would say. You started in Den Haag were I was born, you sailed through Voorburg were I went to high school and through the lock at Leidschendam were I grew up from 2,5 - 19 years. I used to help the lockkeeper on Sundays when the lock was still fully manually operated. I never imagined you would come so close to my world. I’m now living in Eindhoven but I do my sailing in Friesland and on the IJsselmeer (close to KM Yachts).❤

Team, you have been at 6 minutes from my house just after you past the Binckhorst brug and went to the left onto the Zuidvliet to Voorburg! From that point to my house is a straight line of 2.6km. 😀😀😀After the Kerkbrug in Voorburg at the left side was my secondary school, but the school is gone and replaced with fantastic houses. Your last stop was just before the lock in Leidschendam and when you walked along the lock...exactly in the middel you where in front of family's house😍 If I had known that....I would have shake your hands! 🥰

Lovely video. Over here in the UK we have 2,000 miles of waterways that Narrowboats (canal boats) travel on. They are normally 6ft 10 inch wide by 20 - 70ft length. The best place to take them is on the tidal river Thames in London, uk and you will be blown away with the stunning views.

Hey you could have said hello to Mark of Wilding sailing with his repairs and build up of a Wharram Pahi 42. 🇬🇧🧙🏻♂️ River Barges are cool ..huge beasts...but you should get to see one of the original sailing barges with their Side keel boards. Dutch and English Thames barges traded across the channel and up the river. Some of those barges were built with their helm stations that could be collapsed down level with the cabin roof so they can pass under the old fixed steel and brick briges usually in the historic cities. Congratulations. 🌷🌻🌷🌻

Another day and another adventure, this time on a Dutch Barge. You could see Europe and sail the Danube south to the Black Sea and on. ( it looks capable of doing the channel so that opens England ). Enjoy! Looking forward to next week. All the best, Hal
