I’m genuinely feeling like this is a reversal of fortune for our country. Imagine what we could do with the billions we wasted? How the hell did we allow our elected government officials to piss away money that is OUR money - that could’ve been used to IMPROVE our societal health in tremendously beneficial ways. The people who submitted these grant proposals HAVE to be either incredibly dumb or had ulterior motives, right? I mean, if they are that DUMB they need to be stopped. I have complained about this ridiculous soending for years. My husband has told me it is a drop in the bucket and won't make a difference. He wants the big corporations to quit getting loopholes and right offs on taxes. Make them pay their share. I think it all matters. Every penny counts. Cut all waste anf fraud. Uf they thought of it coming out of their own pocket, they might be fiscally responsible.

We know of him bc the Arab world still talks of being rich as Mansa Musa but in Mali to this day they hate his guts as the worst king ever - he came back from his haj broke and conscripted his countrymen even the farmers to attack their neighbors to steal what they had bc he bankrupted his own vast treasury and his son inherited a broke kingdom that fell apart - Timbuktu, Mali and Musa are ancient history we rarely hear about bc of the greed and corruption but it may have been different had he been humble like his own father - thank you for bringing us the relevant stories that help us to think more clearly about important subjects -1

If we took and cut in half the following departments : IRS, ATF, NSA, FBI, Home Land Security, Secret service and the DOJ you would eliminate 220,890 positions and if each person averaged $70,000 per year with out benefits you would save $15,462,335,000 per year. This is only scraping the service..Also paying unemployment to these people would still save us money..
