What i like the most is that he doesn't need a rifle, machine gun, shotgun, or grenade launcher but only uses pistol and magnum instead and also uses his T-Virus superpowers and martial artist to beat his enemies and also he doesn't need to parry enemies weapon with a knife but with his own bare hands as well. Wesker is honestly a badass Resident Evil character🔥

A little tip for next time: If you see like multiple enemies lined up, focus on staggering the ones that are either far back or in the middle of the crowd. With Wesker's dash he can take out multiple ganados at once before he reaches his intended target

My daughter and I just beat RE5. We call him "Whiskers", and Excella is "Egg-Salad" :). We have a lot of fun, making fun of Whiskers and his basket weave, leather suit. But for real. RE4 is the best, and RE is a great series. Anyone who hasn't played RE is missing out.

Pro tip in mercenaries mode, if you drop your weapons like pistols, tmp, weak stuff, you only get ammo from heaviest weapons 😎 Made a run with my grandbrother, I had wesker with magnum only and him the chris version with the hydra and a magnum too, easy peasy ❤

If you have a PC I THINK there's an option in the fluffy mod manager thing to let you play as wesker. I'm CERTAIN there's a mod for it somewhere else too. I've got an Alienware handmedown laptop from 2017 and it can run this at 60fps with mid to high settings, so I'd.....THINK with graphics in games getting better older pcs would become cheaper over time....right? Well, I hope so at least. I haven't been able to even play the dead space remake on my pc with the lowest settings. TLDR probably a mod for wesker, I'd say within 3 years a laptop that could run the game really well might be cheap enough to be a reasonable option (I'm still confused as to how mods aren't possible on consoles)

I learned today that Remake mercenaries can actually end when you kill everyone. If I recall in the original RE4 the enemies were infinite and you play until you ran out of time (with limited time pickups and no time for just killing enemies)

​@LifeCupNoodles Yeah that'll be because it's probably the strongest mayhem in the game since his stinger ability almost fully depletes the mayhem duration because it literally one shots anything it hits. It won't be consistent unless you only use his combo attack rather than his stinger, or you can use it to instantly get rid of a problematic boss. That's why I love his mayhem since you can go either way with it.

I wish that the newer re games felt like 4, 5, and 6. The gameplay on re7, 8, and all of the remakes that use re engine feel so slow and like I don’t have control as much as I would like. Like in re5, the controls were perfect. Mercenaries on re4 remake feels like it’s at such a slower pace :(

agreed, I love the "new" knife parry mechanic in 4 remake but the original 4 & 5s Wesker had so much power and knockback behind his attacks while this new one just feels sluggish. While 6 story was a mess and had way to many QTE's it had the best combat system of any of the resident evil games so far which made mercenary's a blast. I spend hundreds of hours in each of them but the newer games I played through like once and was like its ok. spent some time in 8s mercenaries as well as 4 but no where near as much as the older ones. new ones just don't have the same challenge to them anymore.

Firstly, being a bit more kind towards me would be appreciated.🙂 Secondly, this is a PISTOL and MELEE ONLY run which is clearly mentioned in the title. Thirdly, I believe that Wesker's melee moves makes him unstoppable against Ganados as they usually die in one hit. Moreover, his special parry against stronger enemy types makes them innocuous against him. I find, carrying a Killer 7, Frag and Stun grenades bit of an over kill with this guy. And i strongly believe, when there's tons to choose from it makes it more of a chore if anything. I do that when playing other characters too, just like to keep it simple. 🙂
