You used to buy AMG for very simple reasons: 1. Shameless power from a monster engine 2. Bad ass drifts 3. Noise from that engine (6.2, v8 bi-turbo) This doesn’t really qualify those categories anymore 😢

Some do. The top line 63 models can get over 550 hp and can drift. But it's a lowering amount of models that have that due to regulations.

Well first off, the first official AMG Mercedes was the W202 C36, a six cylinder engine. Second, they never had a bi-turbo 6.2 Liter V8. They had a NA 6.2 V8 (M156), then after that they had the 5.5 Liter Bi-turbo, and then now the 4.0 Liter Bi-turbo. I wish the newer Mercedes kept all the actual buttons. Now for the volume and other things on the steering wheel you slide your finger for some of the things. Like for the volume you would slide your finger instead of using a wheel or whatever to turn it up and down. It makes it harder to turn it up or down. It’s very sensitive and if you are trying to get it to the perfect volume it can be tricky. I wish they kept it how it was before. Sorry if this was confusing. The drive mode setting doesn't belong on the wheel! Imagine being on the track and as you corner, you accidentally switch it to economy mode. There are cheaper performance cars that can go as fast and also have perforations on the steering wheel, and for the ones that don't, just get a wheel skin.
