Well the reason why Rein was good in Overwatch 1 was because you had Zarya Bubble, DVA Matrix or Sigma shield to help you survive, or you could have another tank help you offensively, like Ball slamming or DVA diving or something. But now you need a FULL team comp to help Rein do any of that. You need Lucio to speed you in, you need Mei to wall them off, you need Kiri or Bap for heals and more utility. That leaves you with 1 DPS slot to choose from. Rein is AWFUL in SO MANY WAYS

Yea, Rein feels really weak but not necessarily in the damage department, but rather the durability and lack of crowd control reduction compared to the likes of Mauga & Orisa. Honestly I feel all the tanks should have some form of crowd control immunity built into their kits to really give them that umph that Orisa & Mauga have; it's the problem of where to incorporate it though. Rein could have it during Charge like Mauga, but since he can't recover HP like Mauga, maybe give him dage reduction instead so he has some durability. The change they did to his Barrier in the April Fools was a good one, particularly the control & barrier size changes, not necessarily the damage reflection, and allow him to take less damage while his Barrier is small; he'd have more personal protection while still having the option to defend teammates, kinda like how Hammond is getting changed; sacrifice a little to aid your teammates, by that I mean you lose the damage reduction in favor of a larger barrier, like you're redirecting the power of your suit to your barrier and back again. Something they could do to Rein & Brig barrier specifically is maybe after it hasn't taken damage, regardless of whether it is deployed, it regenerates, but maybe faster while it isn't deployed. Just this could help some Reins who actually min-max their Barrier use rather than charge in

Rein's shield needs a little more hp and needs to curve around his body a little. Give him more protection while getting angled. If Orisa gets to live forever, Rein should be allowed to live for at least 10 seconds.
