Some days you feel great, some days not so much. But, remember, today is a blessing. You woke up, you see the sun and everything around you. You breathe. You are able to smell your favorite tea or coffee or your meal. You can smell a flower on your way to work or during a walk. Be kind to yourself and your life even if the day didn't start the way you expected. Thank your body for doing amazing things like getting you from A to B, digesting your food, feeling the touch. It's these simple things that we sometimes underestimate. Take a deep breath and consider every minute a new chance to make your day a better one

It varies. Many use them to make money, like I do. Computers have gaming, and not all is online. You can even not partake in the convos, or not even display or play chats during online games for that matter. Phones and computers make people generally more antisocial, if they allow it, but society is generally fucked regardless. Lol. Most aren't vegan. Debunked religions, and debunked material atheism. Two-party puppet circus bully double-standards dictatorshittttt political system. Overworked society, which kills productivity often enough, and destroys mental and physical health too. Etc.

Ditto on switching the phone off and not bothering. Also, I dont have any friends at moment, coz I dont do jealousy, being pompous, lying, and just falseness. One friend would only want to talk ab out her. If i tried to change the conversation, shed just go back to where she was talking about herself. I’m picky now. I dont need selfish people in my life. Any of them.

Doctor K, Don't suffer in silence. Is it possible for you to go outside and chat with your neighbors? Can you make it to a nearby park or even a stroll around the block? Talk to the people you see, or just smile and wave. 👋 Just watching children play or people with their dogs will lift your spirits! Being outdoors is very healing, both mentally & physically. Talk to people when in line at the store, I do! If your physically limited, reach out to your local church or volunteer organizations. There are Senior programs too: they have bus rides to theatre shows, music & sports events or the beach. ⛱️ Check out your local Community Center for activities and events happening there, like Swimming for leisure or exercise, Craft Fairs, Music and Movie nights which are largely free or low cost to attend. Perhaps you can play cards, Bingo or whatever your interests are: Chess, Birdwatching, daily walks & other hobbies etc... There are volunteer programs & will be happy to visit, chat, take you to the store, dentist, haircuts or doctor appts. 😀 Please don't give up & know you are a valued & beloved member of our human race & society. We value your experience and insights, so please find a way to share yourself with the world! 🌎

@@calista1280 Ridiculous. I’m not infirm physically or mentally. I walk plenty, but no longer doing marathons or iron man’s. I live in a very right wing rural area. No services. No people. Extremely limited internet. No entertainment. Long haul to any story, and 100+ miles to medical care. Far too many churches for such a tiny population. Great topic. I have always dealt with stress by alignment, I would get stressed and remove myself from the city & job and pack up the truck ang go camping out on the mountain for 10 days by myself to enjoy nature and all that God created.. if I had not done that, life would have turned out very badly.. we people need to actually do the things that bring us joy..

A successful life is the same for everybody Doctor. Spending quality time with family and friends and husbands & wives.. Taking time for hobbies like fishing camping, hiking, Taking time away from work for 30 days every year.. I used to take all my scheduled work days off for a whole month, my supervisor hated that, but she put up with it.. including the days in-between, and that adds up to around 25 to 28 days away from the job.. Plus it made me realize that I need to be doing what makes me happy more often then not. Like my hobbies or a new job that I actually enjoy and look forward to going to do.. God bless you. Bring more videos..

This is so funny, I literally at the beginning of this year January 2022, at work, I talked to my new boss, new manager at a busy grocery store, and explained that I needed 3 days off a week. I had to adjust many things financially to allow me to be able to do this. But I didn't need those things in the first place. I knew for myself, I couldn't keep going the way I was going. I love spending time alone, I found out I'm my own best friend. I don't have any emedeit family, so I didn't lack of needing more time with family. But I noticed, I was able to connect with deceased family members more wholeheartedly. Crazy as it sounds, I'm more at peace, with less stress, and I really don't need a whole lot of out side stimulus to be happy. Just wanted to share my experiences.

Camping & getting things done on my mountain property all summer. One day before long, my cabin will be all done & I can live there full time & fishing is all around me in a short distance.. Having a great time developing my cabin & property. God willing,, it will all come together one-way or another in this crazy over priced lumber issue. Starting to look to habitat for humanity store for 1/2 price lumber and other things that normally get donated...I do not know what availability is like now that prices are so high at the big box stores. We will find out soon..

I dream of being surrounded by family and friends who love me on my deathbed but I know I'll be all alone. I've tried so hard to make/keep connections but I'm nobody's priority. Yes I follow my passions, play my saxophone, enjoy nature with my dog, but meaningful connection with other humans alludes me always 😢

The last decade has been tough and stressful and I tried for ages to listen and absorb/understand the messages being told to me about inner happiness and peace etc. I just couldn’t get it. I was always in my mind following it intellectually but constantly saying, ‘yes, but…’. And it always felt preachy and judgemental (not to mention unobtainable). FINALLY someone’s explained it, compassion and (gentle) passion in a way that makes complete sense. Thank you very much indeed. It’s a gift….

Feeling whole and integrated is the essential key...something that even Martha Becks talk about. Very well pointed out, that Martha Beck, Shefali Tsabary, Gabor Mate talks about, that most of all live our lives through someone's or everyone's else's prescription list, essentially most of us are living someone's else's life then expecting ourselves to feel happy and content. You also beautifully talk about hedonic and eudamonic sense of happiness...one arising out of situations and circumstances and the other associated with joy, meaning, bliss and peace.

I think this is a good point. While you could volunteer and meet new people, it takes time to build relationships and a support system. When people say, go spend more time with your friends, or go do things that require income, it feels like a setup. And it's very discouraging because people are saying your life could be great if you do x, as if it's simple and easily accessible, and these are things to which there are barriers to access. Maybe these podcasts are good for people of certain privileges, but for the rest they can be toxic.

*simplicity is my alignment... no more good paying job I hated which required a newer dependable car to get me there so I could pay the big mortgage on the home I was rarely at but when I was there majority of my time was working on taking care of it all and the weekend chores because I needed clean clothes to get back to the job that paid well lol... and heaven for bid i didn't keep my expensive ass car clean and new ... its crazy! I now live in a tiny house that's paid for and I bought a 2008 Toyota for cash right after I quit my job and started my home base upholstery/artist business. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING in my life has changed and i have never felt more myself!!

Barring a surprise I'm not close to death yet, but already one of my biggest regrets is believing and listening to doctors instead of my own intuition. And I'm not dissing this particular doctor. I think his message is spot on.

Thank you ever so much. I believe your talk was inspired by God and is in line with my favorite, Dr. Joe Dispenza. You remind me of William James - many of the concepts in your sentences are powerful enough to be expounded on in a paragraph! I'll be listening many times! Thank you. "Thoughts become perception, perception becomes reality. Alter your thoughts, alter your reality." William James

My motivation is not about a lack or a love situation. It is more about respectful life. It is more about work for a company who respect people, life, environment. I don't care about money but find a place where you can do your job with respect is almost become impossible. It is not about cleverly, it is not about degree to get a good job. So it is difficult to find the right way when the entire life is moving without respect. We can share work as employee but if we share the hour of work, someone will have to pay it and the boss do not want to pay it as government do not want to pay it also. So what can people do to have a balance life. C'est facile lorsque l'on est dans un confort de donner un avis mais il faudra parler à un moment d'exploitation de l'homme par l'homme pour sortir de ce tabou.

That whole "talking to yourself with compassion and kindness" comes naturally when you start to love yourself through the daily good habits you have, there's no need to put too much effort on it, you should be putting that effort into changing your actions first, and the kind words will come to yourself automatically. Because now you actually respect yourself. But If your life is full of bad habits and you're miserable because of that, then you deserve to hate yourself, you deserve to insult yourself everyday. It's not about being delusional and saying "I love myself" when you actually don't, it's about becoming a person that you actually love, so you don't even have to think about saying "I love myself" it's just a feeling that will come naturally

What often helps me get happier is to recall how precious life is in any form, with the lessons it brings. I look inward to my body, as my cells orchestrate life, and thank them; then ...looking 'up' at the stars I thank them (the cosmos) for the energy they send me etc, and that little realization works to generate a genuine sense of awe and gratefulness.

Just ordered your book. To give you the briefest review of your videos possible from me: your gifts include a soothing delivery steeped in sincerity and wisdom with a blood pressure lowering cadence. I can hear better when people sound calm. Anyway, I’m half way through this video and I just ordered your book. I’m hoping I find some actionable items for the area of control. I have no doubt I will. 😊😊😊❤

Actually what is happening in this era of social media which is a plus point for our generation.. It has some side effects too.. We tend to watch people n every thing randomly ..n it's like a process of our day to day life .actually we r just looking at something n thinking we need to do this.. Which leads to FOMO.. N actually in real if you are your behavior we r just looking them not doing what we are in real or Can do.. We just r bloody viewers n doing nothing. N just thinking that we r doing.. So the actions r not in real but in our brain.. N we r loosing our life just thinking our lives

Interesting, my dad was an orthopeadic surgeon, also from India. Surat / Bombay / Calcutta areas. I was born here in the 80'sand grew up watching just how much the increased workload took its toll on him due to various factors. I need to write a book on it one day. I didn't go into medicine despite my parents hoping I might. That is a big trend in children of parents who work in medicine. My Dads name was Munindra Nigel Blackburn.
