Great video Tyler, amazing content and knowledge bombs! My dad and I went fishing on Monday up here in Oklahoma and I was testing out some new frogs to see how they would walk and I ended up catching my first frog fish of the year. I also had a million blowups, I guess the bass were just acting weird! Keep up the great work!

This may or may not be helpful. But this time of year when fish are spawning I can’t get them to swallow a frog. They just seem to hit them without really biting. So I started going to the same spot with a jig/Texas rig, or a fluke if it was clear enough. Idk if that’s good advice or not 🤷🏾♂️but you may be able to go back to that spot and land some

Nice dude. My first bass I caught was on a random crankbait i attached a lead weight to. I was on a cliff so I had to climb down and net him, but I dropped my net in the water. Long story short I lost the bass without a picture but it was probably a 3 or 4 pounder.

My version of when I feel as if I’m fishing blind is whenever I’m fishing deep. I haven’t been able to save up for livescope or 360 yet. Whenever I’m fishing deeper water (15ft+) I get a sense in the back of my head I’m casting at nothing and I tend to hop spots probably too fast or work my bait too fast
@TylersReelFishing2 жыл бұрын
You definitely are. Having one of those forward sonars will help you a TON
@Pussmash2 ай бұрын
Casting at nothing, very possible Fishing too fast, ehhh... when you dint know where the fish are, your best bet is covering water. Then when you find clues, or actual fish, work your finesse baits and stuff. Don't leave fish to catch fish, and don't stay in 1 spot forever

I fish the Comal River don’t fish ponds much, the Comal River is spring fed and the water temp is around 68-72 year round. Could be 12° outside and the water with be the same. So a top water would be affective year round but what I noticed they have their moods different days and they spawn the a bit earlier than most places.

You got a new subscriber, and I also downloaded your app. I spent 5-6 hours today fishing blindish, I forgot my sunglasses, but I did read up on overcast, light rain, and light wind fishing. Every single website/video/bass magazine ever says to use moving baits, cover water, and fish shallower than typical for midday in June, and fish the banks getting hit with the wind. After trying the square bill, the swim bait, the swim JIG, the lipless, the spinner bait, and a top water frog I managed to pull from the depths hooked to my lipless I was still fishless, and about to give up when I had to tie on my #1 all time favorite go-to, no matter the season, weather, time of day (or night), water temp, etc. A half oz blue and black football head jig with a dark green craw. Within the first 15-20 casts I hooked but lost a decent fish and then pulled in a dink right as the bottom dropped outta the sky. Better than nothing and i enjoyed it.

As for rigging, I always go to.. a wacky rigged 4" stick bait, a wacky jig head rigged w/ a 4" damiki gogo (or a zoom finesse worm), or a dropshot with either a 4" curly tail worm or a 3" tiny fluke. Bass fishing isn’t terribly hard once you get experience. I’ve caught bass with incorrectly fished lures before. I drop about half of them before I can even get pictures though. Targeting the uncommon fish like pickerel, gar, bowfin, drum, and eels is harder.

I am not in the know about which companies make the best polarized prescription, but I know there are plenty you could research. And as far as color, just one that you can wear all day and doesn't give you a headache. Amber or yellow base lenses lighten up the water best, but after a few hours they hurt my head. Just find what fits you best and you can wear all day
