Explaining long-term fasting to my spouse would cause a red flag to rise. What would you recommend for someone who enjoys going to the gym, eats a relatively healthy diet, and yet cannot lose that final 10-15 lbs.?

Hey! I would try and cut calories further. Perhaps cut down the fat content in particular as it has the highest calorie density (assuming that your carbs are already healthy carbs). You could also try to increase exercise which could provide a short term boost. You could also try one meal a day fasting. That can fit in quite well with a typical schedule.
