Macedonia is known for the cleanest water in the Balkans. Wherever you drink water, you can’t go wrong. On the slopes of the mountains, in the forests and along the roads, there are many natural springs with fresh, cold, clean, drinking water. When you get tired of walking through beautiful mountain forests, it looks like a gift from heaven !! The taste of the water is absolutely amazing and will stay in the memory for a long time. I always thought that the water was the same everywhere, until I arrived in Macedonia. Also, they have a lot of smaller rivers with crystal clear water, and in many places the water can be drunk directly from the river and is absolutely safe. (See local information.) Macedonian food is great, but the water is just delicious. How can water be delicious? Go to Macedonia and you will find out.

I am from the town where the best wine and rakija is made, Kavadarci, Tikveš region. I think people generally have no idea about it and rarely anyone visits it, but it's an amazing place, and maybe the most developed town currently

In Antiquity this land was called Paionia and was part of Alexander’s conquests. In the this reasoning Bulgaria or Afghanistan could claim the name as well. Indeed as you stated as long as there are educated people this name will refer to it’s true origin, The Hellenic civilisation. Excellent recap of North Macedonia, Alina! I enjoyed and was in awe of every video you did while you were there. My favorite has to be the lake and town on the shore. I could see that if I was there for a month, I still would not experience everything they offered there. Quite a coincidence that we visited all the places in BG and Macedonia from my home in Troyan Bulgaria in the last year or so, my personal favourite was Bitola, we also did Croatia which is stunning but a little bit expensive compared, you just missed a few fantastic wineries in BG, you could easily do a whole other series on Bulgaria..........Great vids

BTW, if you can pronounce the "C" with a "K" sound for its country name, the locals will love you for it...One word of caution, don't tell your Greek friends about your trip because it will annoy them a lot. Greeks believed that name belongs to them...it's a crazy world we live in...

With the agreements with bulgaria , greece, albania. Alexander the Macedonian did the same thing! But not those who are around us ! They will never want this! They just want deny what we are !
