Macedonia is known for the cleanest water in the Balkans. Wherever you drink water, you can’t go wrong. On the slopes of the mountains, in the forests and along the roads, there are many natural springs with fresh, cold, clean, drinking water. When you get tired of walking through beautiful mountain forests, it looks like a gift from heaven !! The taste of the water is absolutely amazing and will stay in the memory for a long time. I always thought that the water was the same everywhere, until I arrived in Macedonia. Also, they have a lot of smaller rivers with crystal clear water, and in many places the water can be drunk directly from the river and is absolutely safe. (See local information.) Macedonian food is great, but the water is just delicious. How can water be delicious? Go to Macedonia and you will find out.

@alucard alucardidis Sorry... Alexander has always been a Slavic name. Also, Alexander the Great needed a translator when he addressed the Greeks, that is a written historical fact. At the same time, he got along perfectly with the Slavic tribes in Persia. So Alexander the Great was obviously a Slav. The Vienna-Berlin Historical School, which claims that the entire history of the ancient Balkans belongs to the Greeks, is the biggest fraud of the 20th century. . Today, there are a number of new archeological excavations that confirm that the Slavs have been in the Balkans since ancient times. The area of northern Greece, Macedonia and southern Thrace has been Slavic territory since the time of Vinch and Lepenski Vir. But then, in 1923, there was a change of population between the Greeks and the Turks. The Greeks came from Turkey and today they believe that the entire history of that area belongs to them. They are very aggressive in their attitudes, but the TRUTH is like WATER - sooner or later it always finds a way to appear. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_exchange_between_Greece_and_Turkey#:~:text=340%2C000%20Greeks%20remained%20in%20Turkey,them%20in%20Istanbul%20in%201924.&text=He%20estimates%20that%20384%2C000%20Greeks,The%20total%20number%20reaching%20648%2C000.

@@stefangoranovic9713 The name Alexander is derived from the Greek: Ἀλέξανδρος (Aléxandros; 'Defender of the people', 'Defending men',[2] or 'Protector of men'). Open google before looking like a dυmb@$s. Slavs appeared to Balkan area around 7th century. Alexander died at 323 BC. There were no slavs around. All artifacts found from that tribe were in Greek language. You want so much to claim a history that is not yours, but if you do a research you will be surprised. You are one of my favourite KZbinrs. Above all you are a sincere pure person. I’m really sorry to make this remark, but The country’s name is Vardaska or North Macedonia thanks to the traitors of Hellas. The agreement that gave the name North Macedonia is illegal and Cancelled. The cradle of The Macedonian Dynasty, was Argos Orestikon in Pella Hellas. In Antiquity this land was called Paionia and was part of Alexander’s conquests. In the this reasoning Bulgaria or Afghanistan could claim the name as well. I love all my Balkan brothers and I live to see them in Unison. However historical facts are crystal clear. On behalf of the suppressed, betrayed, crippled minority of the Hellenic tribe, I humbly urge you to consider adding NORTH to the title of the video. You passed Makedonia on your way to Bulgaria. Thank you and excuse my intervention.

It seems you did not read anything of the above. I spoke of History not politics frankly. Indeed as you stated as long as there are educated people this name will refer to it’s true origin, The Hellenic civilisation. Beyond this point you will not get another response since you didn’t even noticed I was generous enough to ask Alina just to add North. Which is ludicrous already since Makedonia is one and it’s north region is at the borders of Bulgaria and Skopje.

Loved it, thank you!!! The videos you made on Macedonia are by far some of the best I've ever seen; I watched them with my baba, and we both enjoyed them so much. I'm hoping to be able to visit by next spring or summer. 😊

I am from the town where the best wine and rakija is made, Kavadarci, Tikveš region. I think people generally have no idea about it and rarely anyone visits it, but it's an amazing place, and maybe the most developed town currently

Oh i must add, the Ohrid pearls and original family run business is simply breath taking & contains very high quality/grade jewellery. So very beautiful and feminine. I have always loved pearls & enjoy those special occasions, when i can get dolled up & wear my beloved pearls. They're a real show stopper! The Macedonian people are so beautiful, both inside & out. I just love Macedonia & the Macedonian people. x

Excellent recap of North Macedonia, Alina! I enjoyed and was in awe of every video you did while you were there. My favorite has to be the lake and town on the shore. I could see that if I was there for a month, I still would not experience everything they offered there. Great presentation, and I'll put this one at the title page of the album I keep of places we want to for sure visit soon as we can. Cheers!!!

Quite a coincidence that we visited all the places in BG and Macedonia from my home in Troyan Bulgaria in the last year or so, my personal favourite was Bitola, we also did Croatia which is stunning but a little bit expensive compared, you just missed a few fantastic wineries in BG, you could easily do a whole other series on Bulgaria..........Great vids

I've been trying to take a trip to Europe for 10 years and will finally have the opportunity once Covid restrictions make it feasible. It looks like North Macedonia would be possible even now. Croatia also appears to be reasonably visitable now too (for Americans I mean). I'm looking for an interesting experience in a country without too many covid restrictions (I don't want a bunch of curfews, mask requirements, and so on). Between North Macedonia and Croatia. anyone have a preference or suggestions-- or even another option? I'm just looking to get a break from the grind of everyday life and see a European country for the first time- to experience a new culture, new foods, sights, and so on. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
