I can confirm that this country and area in particular is incredible. It truly is amazing, it is off the beaten path somewhat, but my mini trip to Kosovo and Macedonia was amazing. Skopje leaves somewhat to be desired, but Ohrid makes up for it 1000 times over.

I was there in 2011, so happy memories brought back and in these tough times, it is good to remember the good ones. We even had lunch at Noa too. Thanks for your tour of beautiful Lake Ohrid and the charming town. I was fortunate to visit this unforgettable place in 2006 with some friends from Bulgaria, and a fellow US citizen. We went out on a boat and it was so peaceful and quiet. In the evening there are so many residents that come out at sunset to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. I hope to someday return, with my wife.

Feeling Covid-nostalgic for Ohrid and the folks I've met there (been twice), and stumbled upon this wonderful video -- much as I stumbled onto the beautiful town myself. Dined al fresco at the same restaurant outside St. Sophia...which is pretty awesome itself and deserves a plug. In fact, my friends live just two flights of (steep!) steps from there. Only a couple times have I run into fellow Americans in Ohrid, and we feel like we're in on some special travel secret. Especially enjoyed the virtual walk along the boardwalk: breakfasted one Sunday morning out there, amazing view...just me and the "house" cat, who I ordered an extra egg for. Thanks for the memories, Alina.

Hi Alina! I'm so glad I found your channel, it cheers me up to see sights from my country which I haven't been able to see a lot of during the pandemic. I can't wait to go back to travelling and experiencing new things. If you are still spending time in North Macedonia, I would recommend you to visit Krushevo! I believe the word Ohrid , is a derivative of a word “Garden”...amazing it’s another Tuscony. Incredible capture . And since it was called the Jerusalem then it possibly was the Garden referring to a place of heaven..
