When I was 3, I was hit and drove over by a car. The driver was never charged with anything and I was rushed to hospital with a broken spine, a brain haemorrhage and more injuries than imaginable. After 3 months, I went home. After 6 months, I was walking. After 2 years, I was running. I progressed so fast, the doctors telling me I may never walk again was almost impossible to comprehend. I got into football, however injuries, caused by the accident, prevented me from doing that. I can no longer run, jump or kick a ball. But I worked around it, I’ve never been the type to give up. I’m now playing wheelchair basketball for my county. This video means so much to me.

I worked 7 years towards my basketball tryouts. I was easily top 3 in a 2000 student school. Then a week before tryouts, I got sick with acute bronchitis, a fever, and many feelings of fatigue.
