This is WRONG! Mega Church Pastor Affirming Homosexuality
Pastor Andy Stanley got this wrong about homosexuality! The Bible constantly reiterates and tells us to have faith in Jesus and repentance toward God. God finds pleasure in repentance (2 Peter 3v9), God commands repentance (Acts 17v30), and God gives repentance (Acts 5v31 / Romans 2v4). Homosexual behavior is not the same as identity and struggling is not the same as indulging.

As a female child I heard a voice that said “you want to be a boy!” I thought “yes I do - boys have more strength and they have more fun!” I didn’t know at the time that I was speaking to a deceptive demon trying to trick me. The demon saw my jealousy of boys and my rejection of myself and my gender. I grew up continuing to reject myself until I started to read the scriptures and discovered God created me special for a reason. I learned that God put special gifts in me as a woman and I should not reject myself. Years later I am married to a man and we have three wonderful kids. I am so glad God made me special and I didn’t miss out by rejecting myself.

Before I define myself as gay. I tried to satisfy myself with many things but I knew that something's missing in me that no matter what I do the pleasure will only last for a time. Then a day came when I met Christ and Jesus found me. I was in total conviction of my sins that day. The fear of hell was in me that time. I really really knew that I need Jesus to take away my sins. When I started to follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit reminds me about that part of me that is gay. That time I suddenly remember that God made man and woman, hidden sins in me was revealed by the holy Spirit such idolatry, adultery and sexual immorality. But God changed me still God is changing me. I don't have to build muscles to define myself as boy, I just have to accept that God made as a man and not a girl. That's just a lie that I believed for a long time before. Thanks be to God. Glory to God forever!

Much respect to you sir , let me tell you it's a spirit of lust and perversion , when the spirit leaves the holy spirit will renew your mind . Die to your self and live for Christ , meaning let the purpose of your existence on this earth be to serve Christ in what ever way he wants you too , and serve his will as he served God's will by dying for our sin , and I assure you your life will be amazing , I speak from experience. You only live once , why not commit to this goal which is to die to your self and to live for Christ , think about it do you honestly think chrsit will let you down by what his will for you would be ? His will for you is the best , he made you and he knows exactly who to make you , let him be in charge of your life , it's going to be a challenge sometimes , I my self currently am being made go through some tests and the Lord is making sure I'm fully dead to my self and I tell you some days I resist his will and want to do my own but I don't because he has been so good to me and I know he is really really God and he will make my life amazing in due time , in fact it's already super amazing but even more so externally speaking as well . As for the being gay part like I told you it's the spirit of lust , these demons come in to your body and soul through one way or another and the become a part of you taking over your thoughts and you think it's you who are thinking these thoughts and feeling these feeling but it's the demons that project it on you , no one is born gay , well generational curse does exist but it's to be broken not embraced , I have nothing against gay people if they want to be gay and they deserve to be treated with respect as much as anyone but don't stop me from speaking the truth of what going on and speaking my mind and teaching others that's all . I struggled with porn , had some fetishes , and I thought it was just me but when the sprit of lust left me my natural mind was restored and I was like why was I attracted to certain wierd things which I'm not now , and I realized it was the spirit of lust not me , now I don't even care for sex with out love, sex is for expression of love between man and women and it is a sacred holy experience not some cheap pleasure drug , I still get tested by the spirit, infact today I was tested hard by a drunk girl who was coming on to me hard while I was just doing my job , I should have been stronger in my boundaries but I was weak , thankfully I declined it by the goodness of God , may he help us all because the devil doesn't rest . God bless , keep walking with Christ

Yes! You are absolutely right!! We cannot change the WORD to fit our lifestyle. God says in His Word, "I am the Lord, I change not." We have to repent of sin and turn in faith to Jesus who will deliver us from the power of sin through the sanctifying power of the blood of Jesus Christ!! Sin will always be sin, no matter how many excuses people make up to keep on living in their sin. The Bible says, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die." There is deliverance through the power of Jesus Christ. Some have been delivered from homosexuality through the power of the gospel by admitting their sin, turning away from it, and trusting in Christ for deliverance. If some can be delivered, then others can be delivered. The trouble is that many do not want to forsake that sin! And if they do not, they will be lost eternally if they do not repent before they die. Any church that accepts the sin of homosexuality is doing those who are bound by that sin no favors at all. And they are complicit in that sin themselves. It is like Jesus said, "If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the ditch." People need to hear the good news that God does deliver from ALL forms of sin if we are willing to repent and trust Jesus!

TRUTH We've misinterpreted the context of biblical passages in the past. Passages of the Bible were used to condone slavery, elevating men over women, and anti-semitism. The history of Christianity and large elements of the Hebrew Scriptures evince beliefs in a God who seem to bless a great many things we would deem today as sinful. Incest, polygamy, genocide, slavery, just to name a few. And divorce, which was considered to be a sin back then, seems to be acceptable today. Extensive research has shown us we have yet got it wrong again. The context of homosexuality in the Bible has to do with lust, not love. For instance, in the passage where it states, "a man should not lie with another man", we go back and look at the translation. The precise Hebrew words in Leviticus 20:13 actually states that the text prohibits a "sexual" relationship between a “man” (ish in Hebrew) and a male (zachar in Hebrew), not between an “ish” and another “ish".In ancient Greek culture, in that world, there was a popular and common social custom of men of a certain class socializing with younger males - in a context where mentoring, socializing, partying, and sexual activities would or could occur between the two groups. These specific words - “men” and “males” - were used precisely in descriptions of the Greek custom back then because, at that time, only men who were of adult age and of sufficient substance to own land, vote, and marry, could legally be called “men.” Those who were too young to vote, own land, or marry could only be referred to as “males” under Greek law. So since man>male is a specific term referring to Greek pederasty, then its use in Leviticus 20:13 would make that verse a prohibition of that practice, and not of homosexuality in general. That would also mean that there is no such condemnation anywhere else in the Torah (Leviticus 18:22 also uses the word zachar, rather than ish). Similarly, if the verse was meant to refer to adult homosexual behavior, the style of usage in both Leviticus 20 and the earlier Leviticus 18 would require that ish>ish be used, not ish>zachar. The fact that “isha” (woman) is used in both Leviticus verses adds to this. “An ish should not lie with a zachar as he would with an isha” makes less contextual sense than “an ish should not lie with an ish as he would with an isha". Since in its Greek meaning that “man>male” signifies a pederastic relationship, and it is this that the Leviticus verses outlaw. Therefore, the correct interpretation of the original text would be, a man shall not sleep with a boy as he does with a woman. When it was translated into Hebrew, they wrongly changed God"s word to man and man, since they had no pederasty custom. We also have the romantic relationship between Jonathan and David. One relevant Bible passage on this issue is 1 Samuel 18:1: And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. (KJV)[20] Another relevant passage is 2 Samuel 1:26, where David says: I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women. (KJV)[21] (Why a woman? Because women are the only love we have that involves sex). The story of Ruth and Naomi in the Book of Ruth is also occasionally interpreted by contemporary scholars as the story of a lesbian couple. Here is a brilliant BISHOP and biblical scholar, who spent a long time researching homosexual passages in the Bible. He has been on many TV programs, including many on ultra-conservative Bill O'Reilly's show. He gives many sound reasons why we got it wrong in the interpretation. He also found slavery, the elevation of men over women, and antisemitism to be misinterpreted. And not only this Bishop, a Biblical scholar, but the Pope has come out in support of the LGBT community as well. Telling Christians they need to ask the LGBT community for forgiveness and apologize. He also said that they need to be integrated into society. I have taken the time to pray and research on homosexuality, and abortion, to make sure I get it right. I am not trusting my eternal soul to someone else's interpretations. That is the lazy way to be a Christian. These decisions will impact other people's lives tremendously. They should not be taken lightly. But unfortunately, if there is no close relationships with an LGBT person, people find it hard to find love in their hearts to make sure they get it right. The Holy Spirit has spoken to me about this and has brought to me this research and helped me understand it. I have prayed many times to make sure that if I got it wrong to please tell me, but I have always gotten reassurance in return. Basically the Holy Spirit says that when you look Through The Eyes Of Love you can't get it wrong. So here's where he has led me on other scripture as well. Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10 sound very convincing in including lesbians and gay men in the most dreadful lists of depraved human behavior imaginable. The fact is that the word translated “homosexual” does not mean “homosexual” and the word translated “effeminate” does not mean "effeminate!” The English word “homosexual” is a composite word made from a Greek term (homo, “the same”) and a Latin term (sexualis, “sex”). The term “homosexual” is of modern origin and was not used until about 100 years ago. There is no word in biblical Greek or Hebrew that is parallel to the word “homosexual.” No Bible before the Revised Standard Version in 1946 used “homosexual” in any Bible translation. The word translated as “homosexual” or “sexual pervert” or some other similar term is Greek ἀρσενοκοίτης arsenokoites, which was formed from two words meaning “male” and “bed.” This word is not found anywhere else in the Bible and has not been found anywhere in the contemporary Greek of Paul’s time. We do not know what it means. It probably refers to male prostitutes with female customers, which was a common practice in the Roman world, as revealed in the excavations at Pompeii and other sites. When early Greek-speaking Christian preachers condemned homosexuality, they did not use this word. John Chrysostom (A.D. 345-407) preached in Greek against homosexuality, but he never used this word for homosexuals, and when he preached on 1 Corinthians 6:9 and 1 Timothy 1:10, he did not mention homosexuals. Here's Also, “Soft” does not mean “effeminate.” The word translated “effeminate” in 1 Corinthians 6:9 is Greek μαλακός malakos and means “soft” or “vulnerable.” The word is translated as “soft” in reference to clothing in Matthew 11:8 and Luke 7:25 and as “illness” in Matthew 4:23 and 9:35. It is not used anywhere else in the New Testament and carries no hint of reference to sexual orientation. Malakia (μαλακία) in 1 Corinthians 6:9 probably refers those who are “soft,” “pliable,” “unreliable,” or “without courage or stability.” The translation of malakos as “effeminate” is incorrect, ignorant, degrading to women, and impossible to justify based on ancient usage compared to the meaning of “effeminate” today. The Bible was first written in the ancient languages of Hebrew and Greek and … not translated into English until 1611. It had been translated into Latin, French, and German prior to being translated into English. None of these translations ever mentioned homosexuality as an interpretation of these Greek words.

Can I say something that you might take offense to? Something that's hard to swallow but I am very curious to hear your response? And hopefully you won't be too upset with me lol... The bible calls for the execution of all gay folks in old testament times. When I bring that up, every Christian on the planet earth says "Well, Jesus came and because he died and instituted the new covenant, that's makes everything all better" (I'm paraphrasing). Only issue with that is: 1) No amount of time excuses that hloca^st of the told testament anymore than it diminishes the effects of the one that happened 80 years ago. Dismissing their suffering is... horrific... tragic... 2) Jesus didn't make things better... the penalty for existing as a gay person who chose to be with someone they love changed from capital punishment (Leviticus 20:13) to eternity in hell (1 Timothy 1:10 and Romans 6:23). Jesus didn't make things better... he made them infinitely worse!! More over, a person's ability to love is the most special part about them. So... how do you justify the idea that god loves us queer folks but condemns the most beautiful part of who we are?

Don't get me wrong I'm happy you got away from abuse, nobody deserves that. But isn't divorce just as much of a sin as homosexuality according to your Bible? One would think if you hold hardline views that gay people can't even be in your faith because the bible says so, that you would apply that hardline view unilaterally. Hopefully you see my point.

There are no negative thoughts when I hear you speak God’s word. I am so energized and encouraged by His messages. I pray that my children will come to know God the way that I am. That is my calling, I believe, their salvation. I try to think of ways to help bring them to Jesus. They’re teenagers. I am currently getting a divorce from my wife, who I had loved with all of who I once was. I am saved now, and when I asked Holy Spirit for a clear sign, He gave me Romans 1. I had just finished praying and opened my Bible, which I had no idea what was in Romans 1. That was a strong and direct answer to my prayer. He had spoken, and now I listen. I will obey Him, with His help, forever. No matter what I must deny myself. He is worthy and faithful, and I love Him beyond anything of this world. Its funny here on what you said. I do prison ministry, and I have always spoken the truth against sin, no matter what the sin may be. I tell the homosexuals that they need to repent, turn from their nature to sin, and be born again of the Spirit of God that they may then walk one with God, and He will give them the power of the Holy Spirit, if they ask, and walk in victory over their wicked lusts of the flesh. Just today, I opened the forms that we are required to fill out for the yearly training that we must go through in order to go into the prison as a volunteer. I was already getting in my spirit that my time was to end with the prison, and was sure why, for I have been doing this for many years. But, when I was looking over the forms, which have always been the same over the many years I have been going in, there was this greatly embolden statement concerning the alphebet people in the system, and that we had to speak in ways that was never offensive in any way to any of the prisoners, and we had to make all prisoners feel they are welcomed as they are. If anything that is said may make one feel offended, we could be taken out, handcuffed, and arrested and tried, and could be incarcerated. When I saw this, I knew that we were now in a time where the Gospel was not going to be allowed to be spoken, and that we were only going to be able to speak like this Andy demon was speaking. I am not afraid of being thrown into jail for speaking the truth, but I understood why I was hearing the Lord tell me that my time with this ministry was coming to an end. I will always speak the truth in the public arenas, but when I am being allowed to come into their place, and they are permitting me to speak to the prisoners, I am also giving them, because they are a government facility, the right to refrain what I can and cannot say. So, I will not allow them that control. I will keep from their facilities. God bless.

The devil wants to destroy that, because when we are with people of the same sex, we cannot became one, we cannot multiply. Thats why for God, homosexuality is an abomination of his creation. Now why is it punishable by death? Because it is sin, as any other sin, the wage is death. I am a Christian who fights the sexual attraction to the same sex every day! Its definitely not a choice for me to be attracted to the same sex. It is however a choice for me to not act on my sexual attraction to other men. It's been one of the hardest things I've ever done and will continue to do until the day I die! You can't shut your attraction off but you can choose if you do or don't act on it. I used to think it was so unfair and I still do but me having a spot in heaven is way more important than me being able to have sexual intercourse with my preferred gender as far as my attraction goes. So with that being said being homosexual is not a choice as far as the attraction goes cuz you can't just turn it off. But it is a choice on the action!

Thank you so much for this. There is really so much deception out there and the church really needs spiritual discernment like never before. There was so much clarity and discernment in what you were saying and we need that today. We have lost that discernment and the true Gospel. We need it back. I was actually very afraid of the move of the Holy Spirit. I was very confused for so long and I was searching for and seeking God for answers. I battled mental illness and in and out of the hospital. But I received a prophetic word years ago at a meeting after fasting for 3 days that I would reach a place where I would no longer be afraid of the move of the Holy Spirit but rather discern the move of the Holy Spirit. I do believe the Lord is fulfilling that promise and I'm growing in discernment. I feel more at peace than ever before. I have wrestled with lust, pornography, very drawn to beautiful women, and I was abused in foster care. But I so want to be free of this because I know this is wrong. I want to be married to the woman God has for me in His timing but I need to be purified. I have come a long ways but I want complete and total freedom in my life.

Thank you pastor for speaking the truth in love. 🙏 I pray that blinders will be removed from the eyes of those who struggle with the sin of homosexuality. Many of us (if not all) have some besetting sin that we have struggled with. Jesus calls us to follow Him and die to ourselves. When we are born again, we have the Holy Spirit living within who will help us to say “no” to our ways and things that are not of God. When we do, He will lead us from glory to glory out of our depravity and into His wholeness of righteousness, love, truth and mercy. I pray that people will read the Bible with an open mind and not pick and choose what pleases their flesh. When Jesus walked this earth the Bible says that many left Him and refused to walk with Him anymore because they did not like what He said. I hope that won’t be true of those who have listened to this message today.

I love them, I don't shun them, however, they know my claim to Christianity. It would be very easy for me to accept Andy's teaching based on that but i do not. His teaching on that subject is an apostacy and he is being decieved and needs prayers for deliverance! Jesus ate and fellowshipped with sinners but He did not condone their lifestyles and/or tell them they were made that way. Yes, the church has treated them badly, but to accept them based on a lie is worst since that will assure them a place in hell! May God continue to bless you, your wife and ministry! SHALOM

If a religious belief prioritizes suffering over joy, I have a hard time accepting it as coherent with my Christian practice. If a belief leads to torment and destruction (LGBT children committing suicide for example)on a scale where it can even be empirically measured with longitudinal studies, it's part of my Christian duty to interrogate it with skepticism because that's not the gospel Christ brought to Earth. And if people persist in their destructive beliefs, knowing they lack both theological rigor and empirical backing, I have to question the genuineness of their commitment to Christ, as opposed to an idol of preference or tradition. Whether to continue to seek peace with those people or to "shake the dust off your sandals" is a difficult and often contextual deliberation. 🤔 I’ve done a lot of research on this subject both biblically and scientifically. To sum it up, the ORIGINAL Bible scripture on homosexuality consisted of condemning Pederasty, men having sex with BOYS (Leviticus), and public Pagan ritual orgies (Passages in the New Testament). Nothing to do with homosexuality in general, especially loving committed monogamous relationships. These homosexual verses, along with others including slavery, have been mistranslated throughout history. Scientifically, I found both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Psychology Association (APA) both concur that a person's sexuality is a natural occurrence and that it cannot be changed by will. And we all know this, because none of us can change our sexuality. It’s not like we can wake up tomorrow and say I will be homosexual today or I will be heterosexual today. It just does not work that way. It is a part of nature. Over 1500 species been shown to exhibit homosexuality. Bottom line, two adults who fall in love with each other and want to take care of each other for the rest of their lives and perhaps adopt children from orphanages that have no parents, and create a family, pay their taxes, are an asset to society, and cause no trouble, deserve respect and the freedom to do that. Unless someone can show me how this is harmful, I will be an LGBT supporter. Blessings to you.🙏🙂

@@seekingaftertheheartofgodw4448 shedding light…… The bible has been mistranslated. CORINTHIANS 1, TIMOTHY 1 AND ROMANS1 The word homosexual wasn't even inserted into the Bible until 1946. And even those Scholars agreed that they misinterpreted and it should not have been interpreted as homosexuals, and was changed back to sexual perverts in 1971. But many Bibles printed from 1946 to 1971 still contain the misinterpreted word "homosexual". Paul could have used many words if he intended to blast gays and lesbians. Yet Paul used none of those available words, choosing instead to coin an interesting new word, arsenokoitai. Over the thousands of years, it has been changed. We must look at the "original" text. That word is an unusual word. It’s a new word; we don’t know of any other instances of the word until Paul coins the word in 1 Corinthians 6 and 1 Timothy 1. It’s a compound word: “arsen” means man and “koite” or “koitas” or “koitai”-depending on a verb or a noun-means bed. It’s quite clear that Paul has coined this word from Leviticus 18 and 20. Even if you don’t know any Greek, you could find online or pull up the Greek transliteration of these two verses. Look at the Septuagint, which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, and then just look at the Greek for the necessary passage in Leviticus 18 and Leviticus 20 and you'll see there (and in fact the words are right next to each other in Leviticus 20) this word for man (“arsen”) and the word for bed (“koitai” or “koite”). And if we are so bold to stretch this to encompass gay sex, how can we possibly stretch it so far as to include lesbians? We must be careful of taking a word, a sentence or even a passage without looking at the context of the entire chapter. During the time Paul wrote this, he was traveling and came across these people performing public orgies in Pagan rituals to appease their gods. Of course this is totally unlike a same-sex loving committed monogamous relationship. Arsenokoitai is never used in any extant Greek literature with our modern meaning of homosexual. The best evidence available today indicates that arsenokoitai described shrine prostitutes. That is the learned opinion of Philo, a contemporary of both Jesus and the apostle Paul and one of the most widely read Jewish intellectuals in the first century. Because Paul, AD 4 - 67, and Philo of Alexandria, 20 BC - AD 50, were contemporaries and because Paul was well educated and widely read, it is reasonable to believe that Paul was familiar with the writings of Philo, a fellow Jew and public intellectual, although not a fellow Christian. Philo understood Moses, in Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, to be condemning shrine prostitution. Philo's understanding that arsenos koiten refers to shrine prostitution is 2000 years old. It was a Jewish belief with which the Apostle Paul was familiar because Paul coins a new word describing temple prostitution using the Septuagint Greek words of Leviticus 20:13. Believing that Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 refers to shrine or temple prostitution is not a modern belief invented by gays to alibi their "sin". It is the ancient Jewish and Christian belief for thousands of years. So this research reveals that "man" tweaked the word of God to control mankind. At that time procreation was an utmost necessity, as it empowered nations to build up strong armies and increase their wealth. This was their way of suppressing homosexuals. And some Autocratic/Communist countries still do this today for the same reasons but the difference is today homosexuals are able to have children through in vitro fertilization and also fill the gap for those children abandoned in orphanages through adoption. Since KZbin won't let me post the links, I suggest you search, " 1946 the movie", and you will see how they explain this in greater detail.

As someone who has been chronically ill, not until recently I have found churches that have accepted me. I kept going and trying because I love Jesus. Anyone who does not fit the legalistic view of what a Christian is will struggle with this. Not a model of Jesus at all. And I may have struggled with physical disability, but God has brought healing to my life and is continuing to bring it. My identity does not rest in my challenges.

Jill, Suffering with a chronic illness can be demoralizing and worse. One deals with questions like, "What does it say about me that God hasn't healed me?" Or even, "What am I supposed to think about God, and my relationship with Him?" I remember what Jesus told His disciples about the purpose the man was born blind. The reason being; he was born blind (a congenital malady), so the power of Almighty God could be seen in him. Bless you.

@@keithmayer1417 Yup, I have been through that too. Been told that I am not deserving of people’s time because “obviously” not right with God. One, lots of scriptures of God is made strong in their weakness. Also, Matt 25:31-46 clearly teaches how we treat the least of us is how we are treating Jesus. Boom! I getting healed as I am getting older… things that technically cannot be healed. Why God waited? It is all in His timing. That is all I can say. Because of the relationships I have made over time, a lot more people get to see it.

@@KeilyShhh Dear friend, I'm not offended at all. I can certainly understand where you are at, and why you feel the way you do. How do I know how you feel? Without boring you with my whole life story lol, let me speak the truth to you in love. All my life people that I loved told me I was gay, nobody ever said maybe this is just area of sin that you struggle with. It was very painful, I didn't want to be gay, but it must be true. At 26, I finally accepted that identity. Ok so I'm gay. I even married a woman that's how decieved I was. The funny thing about deception is that you don't know you are decieved. Now, let me also mention that God doesn't hate one sin over another. He isn't about sin, he can't be because it would deny all that he is. God is good. Now, let me tell you how good he is. 😊 In the January of 2022, I'm sitting in my little condo, just waiting to die. I had no hope, no future., no worth, everyone I have ever loved betrayed me. Plus I was drowning in ALL of my sin, pick one thing that Bible says not to do and I have done it at one time or another. I see you know the bible well, so I know you can pick one that Jesus said don't do and I've done it. Well besides murder, no I haven't murdered anyone. Lol. Anyways, some people say "I found God" well believe me when I tell you, God found me. Right where I was at, sitting at my house I'm cruising KZbin and a video by Isaiah Salvidar came on me phone. So I watched it, I was like this dude seems cool and he's not weird and corny like I always thought Christians were. So I watched more and more of his videos. I'm like who is this Jesus that's he's talking about? Repent what does that mean? God can change my heart and my mind? The Bible says, "God will use the foolish to confound the wise." Let me tell you friend, I was such a fool. I thought I knew everything, I had it all figured out. What was right and what was wrong (my version of course), and I never even considered what God thought about it. Then it occurred to me that my whole life had been one painful moment after another, but God has literally saved my life several times. You will have to just trust me on that one. Anyways, I started reading the bible. That was hard, it was even harder to hear what Jesus really thinks about all my crap. Lol So I started praying over and over, God obviously MY opinions, thoughts, and feelings have always been right in my own eyes but YOUR word says something else, so change me. Change my heart, change my mind, let anything that is not of you fall away. Now, was this easy? No. Absolutely not. Lol it's been a process. It takes time, and obedience. I'm 42 years old. Hear me when I tell you, Im walking this thing out and serving God and doing what Jesus said which is "Die to self. Pick up your cross and follow me." So long story short, it doesn't matter how I think or what I feel, I'm living for God and he has cleaned me up. Do I identify as gay anymore? No I do not. I can tell you the exact moment that changed too. I was in my kitchen making coffee, and I heard myself whisper, "I wish I had a husband and a real family". When it came out of my mouth I was so shocked, I just started bawling my eyes out. (Actually I'm crying right now as I'm writing this lol) That happens alot now by the way, that heart of stone I had really got swapped out for real. Now remember God isn't a respecter of persons. Meaning what He can do for one he will do for another. BUT we gotta let him. Take it from me, it was extremely hard to bend my knees, and say: God I want to live your way and NOT my way. So my dear friend, I'm so glad you that you chose to shout me out today. I know God is good and He is always right on time. God bless you my friend, Jesus really does save! 😊

Thank you for responding. My heart so feels for you in your struggles and I'm so happy that you seem to have found such hope and joy in your life :) If you're interested (lol)... I went through my own journey that took me down a road that nearly ended in my death. I had always been told that God loved me... and it always seemed like the most simple, lovely idea. I had an awesome mom who was so kind and though she felt (and feels) that accepting the gay parts of me is a sin, she was so open and happy when I came out to her. I went on missionary trips and (even though I hadn't come out to anyone else) everyone in my group had so much compassion for the queer community. Well, there was one girl who was a real piece of work but everyone else was super nice. A few years after I came out to my mom, I was watching the news and they were covering a story of a pastor who believed that capital punishment should be the government's response to the existence of gay people. They interviewed this very hateful man and cut to clips of him preaching at his church. He pounded the pulpit as hard as he could... He shouted out slurs as he urged the congregation to support the execution of me and people like me. My thoughts went to the new covenant... how "Jesus came so those executions weren't necessary anymore". But I realized that none of that mattered... So many people... so many precious people who just wanted to be with someone they loved... they were killed! In pain and fear and loneliness... in a hloca^st... one smaller but just as horrific as the one that happened 80 years ago. And I realized that if I lived back then, then god would have also wanted me to go through that... to be killed horrifically. I knew that how I felt for girls wasn't something I could control... I knew that it was a part of me... and innocent part that had always been there. And if god rejected that, that means he so utterly rejected me. I knew (I KNEW for a fact) that I would take my life if I tried to make myself believe that. So I finally was honest with god for the first time in my life. I said "God, I don't believe the bible... but I do believe that you LOVE me!". And I swear, all I heard from god was "That's awesome!! I love you exactly as you are!". Life is so much easier now lol!! I know god loves me and he lead me to beautiful woman who shows me that every day. Wow lol... that was long! You seem pretty kind and it's nice to... I guess discuss this sorta stuff with a Christian. My family... they have a hard time with my orientation. So I guess I'm trying to practice dishing out my arguments to people on KZbin because I'm freaking out about approaching them with it lol.

@@KeilyShhh Well thank you for sharing your story with me. I know that people can mishandle things out of their flesh and carnality and when that happens you get people who use their words to injure others instead of speaking to a person truthfully in a gentle and loving way. Sometimes people focus on one sin more than another, as if God is really mad about homosexuality but He's cool with someone who is a liar or thief. Truth is we have all fallen short of Glory of God. Our righteousness is like filthy rags before a Holy, Righteous and Majestic God. I was listening to a song when I first read your original reply to me. It's called Reckless Love, I think the dude's name is Corey something. Anyways, the part that gets me everytime is "I didn't deserve it. I couldn't earn it. Yet you give yourself away." So, God does love us? Absolutely! BUT do we know better than God? No, we don't. Does God loves us enough to give us a playbook to live by? Yes. Does anyone LIKE to be told what to do and how to do it? No. We humans prove that time and time again. Having said that if God created the whole universe, couldn't it be possible that maybe, just maybe He knows what's actually best for us? Think of a loving parent that tells their child "Don't touch that stove!" But why? Is the parent being mean or unloving? No. The parent seems to know something the child doesn't. That maybe the very thing we may want to do, might hurt us and actually be bad for us. You seem very thoughtful and it's obvious that you really want to please God. I'm here to tell you God really does love you. You better believe it girl!!! 😊 However, He isn't pleased with things that he refers to as sins. Unfortunately, we don't get to choose what those things are. I'm not God, and He doesn't run everything past me. Lol But I trust that He has reasons for his Do's and Don'ts even if we never get an explanation as to why they are what they are. So, don't let anyone tell you that God is less bothered about someone being a liar, or someone who is a cheat, than someone who struggles with same sex attraction. It's all the same to Him. It is what it is. Lol Now can you do me a favor? You seem pretty smart and I bet you like to read. Look up this book, called Gay Girl, Good God. The author's name is Jackie Hill Perry. I bought it over the summer from Amazon. It took me a while to actually open the book and read it. I let it sit on the table for quite awhile. It took me awhile to find the courage to read it, but I've always had a bit of a stubborn and rebellious streak. 😉 Go figure. Lol

"Greasy Grace", never heard that one before! Thank you, heavenly Father, for Pastor Vlad's dedication to your ministry. I pray that your angels as ministering spirits encourage and serve him as often as he needs. We live in a rushed-to-market Christian paradigm of partial truth, scripture snippets, and lazy discipleship, which is deadly. It's kind of similar to receiving good counsel to look right and left before you cross the road, yet only be bothered to look in one direction and wonder why you ended up in the emergency room or worse. May we all be better hearers of the Word so that we can be those who delight in being doers of your Word heavenly Father. Everything for life and godliness can be found In Yahusha Messiah, and in His name I give you thanks, Amen. We All Must Be Born Again For We Walk In The Valley Of The Shadow Of Death We All Must Practice The Truth To Come Into The Light Our God Is Worthy Of Our Full Attention For He Is Holy And Has Made Every Effort For Our Benefit From Before The Foundation of The World Whatever Our Fleshly Struggle We Can Have No Confidence In The Perishing Flesh John 3 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” We Know John 3:16 But Do We Consider Verses 17-21 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. 18 Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.” Romans 8 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, 7because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8 12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation, but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

@cherylp.3347

@Keily S HI. Firstly, Jesus and God are the same. Jesus is God in the flesh. You see Jesus, you see God. Back then, God chose the Israelites as his special chosen people. He made a covenant with them. Basically, you do this and I'll do that. Leviticus is the laws he laid down for the Jews to follow as part of that agreement, including the sacrifices for sin. They were to follow him and him only. God considers homosexuality a sin. He hates all sin, whether it's that or lying or stealing, murder etc. They were to keep themselves holy. God did, and still does take sin very seriously. Fast forward to the time of Christ and the New Covenant. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice so for all who repent and follow him ,their sins are forgiven, permanently. No need for sa crifices. Christians don't follow the ritualistic laws that were laid down for the Jews. Some laws still apply, like the ten commandments. Though it's not up to Christians to go kill people , God will judge them and throw them into hell at the time when he judges people. Does that mean he excuses sin now , no of course not. What you call beautiful, God calls sin. He made us, he made where we live, everything. What he says goes whether we agree with it or not. His agreement with us is simple , repent, follow him ( obey him and what he's asked us to do, turning from sin), and gain heaven, eternal life. Or choose not to and he'll give you the reward for that. " The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23. God doesn't force himself on us. He gives us a choice and that choice is the most important one you'll ever make. It decides your eternal destiny. Our bodies will die but our soul and spirit last forever. Christians will live in their new, perfect beautiful, young forever bodies forever. Not so for those that reject Christ. Being sent to hell is the second death. And we all sin , homosexuality is just one of the sins that sends us to hell. A Christian, like the Jews back then, cannot have God and willfully choose to continue sinning. Hope that answers your question.

@@LaStarza61 Nope, I've gotten quite a few responses because I genuinely want to talk about this... It's important and I want to understand why this subject is something that all Christians avoid like the plague.

Sir, you have made one of the best, most scriptural addresses on this subject. You have stayed within the bounds of Scriptural authority and historical Christian theology. You will never need to change this message.

I am really with you Vlad, and have been through some of the same issues and thinking. Over the last 14 months, my theology and doctrine has been so sharpened so that I now share about three things... 1. The absolute holiness of God and unfathomable power of a holy God. 2. The utter gulf between my own significance and the character of God - my utter worthlessness before God, how I have nothing at all to justify myself. My deeds are worthless and only God is good - and I need to repent. and then 3. His outreach to us, not just to accept us (which is a miracle in itself) but to love us and actually GIVE us something we don't deserve - His mercy and grace. Without understanding 1, 2 doesn't have any importance and we don't feel a need to obey and repent. Without understanding 2, God's grace is just taken for granted, sometimes to the extent that we think we have the right to tell God what to do. Any preaching that focuses ONLY on 3 is an incomplete representation of a Holy gospel, written in the blood of the cross. We seek to please God, not man. May that forever be our path. GB.

Well, the only people that go there are those that deny the truth, and have been given over to the deception, for they love the lie more than the love the truth. So, he is not a pastor, in the biblical sense, that is, but he is a lost leading the lost.

Same with our church and I’m Catholic we aren’t even allowed to attend Pride or Gay Weddings etc because it’s a sin and goes against what God created.

Yeah I agree. It’s rly very simple but ppl make it so complicated. Of course we don’t want to stop ppl coming into church even if they identify as LGBT but we need to ensure those ideologies don’t make it into the church leadership roles cause then the church msg starts getting warped to fit the culture.

God told Moses and Aaron to not even drink alcohol, they were to stay sober -minded so they were sensitive to Gods spirit and direction for the Israelites. Our leaders need to be Sober -and Spirit filled so they can lead correctly . Our church had a pastor that dealt with sexual sin, and believe you me, the direction of the church suffered.

Thank you for explaining how Jesus views about homosexuality and how God has never changed His principle. I've learned that many "Christian churches" twisted the truth about marriage. I have also seen many progressive changes in Christians' beliefs & practices, such as premarital sex and co-living. I pray for the spritual revival in today's churches. 🌻🌻 Thank you so much for encouraging us to walk w/ God closely & stick w/ the truth.

@@pastorbri you are ignorant of the word of God, and ignorant of who Jesus is. Yes, he did speak about the Alphabet group, and every other sinful groups. He spoke of all the groups we sinners were in to. Yes he did. When God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah do you think Jesus was absent? God the Father and God the Son are in perfect agreement with each other yet God loved us soooo much he sent His Son to die for our sins. He took our punishment we deserved on Himself so we can be forgiven and set free of our sins.
