"The Bible Says Homosexuality Is A SIN!" Preacher Franklin Graham on Being Gay

Evangelical Preacher and son of famous Evangelist Billy Graham, Franklin Graham joins Piers Morgan Uncensored whilst he is on a UK tour called "God Loves You".
Firstly Piers asks him about the recent 10-year-old victim of rape in Ohio who had to travel across the state border to get a legal abortion after falling pregnant and what Franklin would do if this was his daughter. Franklin says he is "not sure" and that its a "tough decision" because of his religion and the difficult circumstances and he would only be able to answer that if he was in the reality of it and had to face it.
Piers then goes on to ask him about his previous statements on homosexuality and if it is fair for anyone's sexual preferences to be labelled a 'sin'. Franklin replies by saying "The Bible says homosexuality is a sin" and that it's not debatable if it's a sin or not, but rather that he is just trying to warn them to repent their sins. He says "we all sin" but we must repent our sins to God and he will ultimately forgive us.

The second Graham starts his sentence, Piers cuts him off by asking 3 more questions without allowing him to answer any of those as well. It’s a foreshadowing that something or someone needs to die in your place. God is holy righteous and just and he can’t just excuse sin if he did he wouldn’t be just… the reason we “pay” for adam and eve’s sin is because God had established laws of hereditary they could pass on to their children but ultimately they passed down only imperfection, sinful tendencies, and eventual death. With the question, you had about if a baby died at a stage where it couldn´t even reach the age where they begin to learn about Jesus Christ and you wondered what would happen to it. Well you see when god creates us into this world we are all pure at first in our young years of life, and yes the bible says we are all born with sin, but however our brains and thoughts as a newborn or at an age where we are too young to understand the bible have not yet crossed that line of age where we have our own thoughts and conciseness where we can make our own decisions and choices to either follow the teachings of the lord and accept Jesus Christ as our savior in order to be delivered and saved from eternal punishment or stray away from our creator and be overwhelmed by evil spirits. So if a newborn were to tragically pass away, that baby would not be old enough to be judged for how it lived because it never had the chance to live a life in the first place so that baby would be saved and this doesn´t only go for Christian babies, but also for any young human being around the ages of 5-0 years old (Months or even weeks old) because they have not reached the age where they are able to commit sin in their lives with their own thoughts and will. You also seem to question the logic of Jesus´s sacrifice and you also have questions about why we are accountable for Adam´s mistakes when it wasn´t us who committed them in the first place. Now to answer your question about how Jesus´s sacrifice is logical in any way, I want to first confirm that his sacrifice is actually real and the evidence is literally within the timeline that we used to mark history and which we use to even this very day. This being BC (Before Christ) and AD, Annon Domini which means the year of the lord in Latin which we´ve been using in our calendars which the whole entire world follows and has continued following for many generations. This event has literally been marked out on a timeline in history and questioning the lord who is basically our creator who is all-powerful and giving people a chance in order to give us an opportunity to save everyone from hell is so foolish. The problem with anything which Piers Morgan presents is that it's always all about him, and he can never be wrong. At times I wonder why he even has a guest on to interview, because he always talks more than they do, constantly interrupts them, cuts them off, assumes that he is an expert on every single subject, and refuses to listen or be taught by those more knowledgeable than himself, no matter what the topic is. He invited you onto the show, but rather than ask you about yourself, your life, and to give information about the event, he immediately jumps in to interrogate you on what he thinks are "gotcha" issues, and the interview ends without ever even getting to those basic points. It's obvious that he has a very poor knowledge of Biblical Theology, and I understand that not every non-Christian knows the Bible well, but knowing that fact about yourself, at least have the humility to acknowledge that you're not an expert, and be willing to listen to someone who is much more qualified to explain and clarify it. He has a Theologian literally sitting in front of him, but instead of taking into consideration what the Theologian says about Biblical Theology, he thinks he knows more about the subject and can 'school' the person who spends their life studying, preaching, and living it. There's nothing wrong with asking questions, but the problem is that he made assumptions and accused you of things incorrectly, and then when you clarified why his accusations and characterisations were inaccurate and explained what the Bible actually says, he just repeated the same incorrect accusations and characterisations.

It's more nuanced than Morgan claims, but he interrupts and dismisses Graham's attempts to explain it while thinking he knows more. The Law given by God in the Old Testament has not changed, it's still the Law. Jesus still speaks of the Law in the NT Gospels, and the apostles still refer to the Law in the NT Epistles. The difference is that the coming of Jesus Christ as the Messiah and fulfilment of the Law changes how it applies to us as disciples of Christ. We no longer sacrifice animals since Jesus' death on the cross fulfils the sacrificial system, and no further sacrifices are required. We no longer separate food into clean and unclean because that was what is known in Biblical Theology as a 'type' indicating the separation of the children of Israel as 'clean' or holy, set apart from other 'unclean'/sinful cultures (with a similar concept seen in commands about mixed fabrics and the like), and which pointed towards its fulfillment in Christ. When Jesus came into the world, He made all foods clean, as all who accept Him are adopted into the new covenant in which physical indicators are not what sets us apart and those 'unclean' to be avoided. We do not become clean or unclean by adhering to ritual practices intended to point people towards the coming Messiah, but by adoption and belonging to Him now that He has come. People are no longer put to death for sins because although their sin still deserves the punishment of death in the OT and NT eras, Jesus' sacrifice on the cross allows us to be forgiven and His death is a substitution for our own. This is why it's called the Gospel, the good news, because we are set free from our failure to keep the Law perfectly, and although the Law of God has not changed, how it applies to us is different due to the work of Jesus Christ. :) Of course, moral commandments of God such as not to murder, not to lie, not to steal, to love one another, to serve Him alone, and others apply eternally as these are moral instructions. As for ceremonial and sacrificial instructions, it's not that God has changed or doesn't care about His Law, it's that Jesus Christ fulfils the Law and those aspects apply differently now through the lens of His finished work on the cross. :) If anyone tells you that often trotted-out line that "Christians don't follow the Bible" because they eat shellfish or wear mixed fabrics, that person doesn't understand Biblical Theology, because it is fact the Bible itself which explains how those aspects of OT Law apply to Christians in the NT era. It is precisely because Christians have read understood the Bible and Biblical Theology that they don't practice those commands exactly as the Israelites did before Christ's coming. I often see people quote some part of Levitical Law out of context as a kind of 'gotcha' against Christians, but the reality is that Christ Himself and the apostles clarify this very matter in the Biblical writings.
