Just 4 days ago I was sitting in my moms car for 3 hours waiting for doordash orders. I made $8.50 in that 3 hours. I drove back to my moms house telling myself I wasn't gonna do that shit anymore. Because I could have literally been making something or figuring out ways to make my art make money in those 3 hours. Now, I'm back at my apartment and as I watch this video, I'm finally using this $1500 art printer I splurged on for my birthday last September to format and print art prints. Literally the reason I bought the printer in the first place but was too scared to follow through on because what if I spent all this money and did all this work and my shit doesn't pop off. Not realizing that that fear kept me from ACTUALLY trying for real. I ain't even made money yet and already, trying feels so much better than sitting in that car for 3 hours to make less than $10 dollars.

Doordashing just to eat but im reaching the same idea that this is not worth my time and I might just not have to eat for a few days. rent just got paid 4 days late but im going to keep grinding and trust me im scared as hell but the Worst action is NO action. you got a canvas that you really wanted and now its sitting for months because youre scared to mess it up well then do nothing with it but is it better? I used to think in the same way as you. don't get me wrong ur art is amazing! but you can definitely retain your creative expression and joy of painting on your own terms while learning new techniques or discovering your own new techniques from others. Sometimes the restrictions set by the teacher, client, classroom etc. push us to learn new ways of expressing ourselves. Anyhow, I'm more like you and feel resistance to be told anything from others so it's a perspective shift for sure! keep creating and inspiring
