My fellow artist, I love your fearlessness and aggression in your art. I love it. I'm 64 and my medium is mainly colored pencils and alcohol markers. I might send you a copy of my work just so you can see my style of drawing. I'm going on your site and purchase something soon. Peace, from "Lefty can Draw"

I’ve learned to let go of creative expectations, to let myself create and have fun with the process. The second I compare my work to someone else I lose sight of the point of creativity. Love your videos, thank you for sharing your creativity and what you learn along the way.

When he said,"you may be looking at your own shit, like ok.... what the fcks goin onnnn?!?! 😳." FACTS on many levels. This is a good channel and that abstract on a whim is way more cool. If Warhol could paint a can of soup and make millions we can all get with it! We believe whatever we tell ourselves. So long as we make it good then the other people will be forced to be good with us and if they arent, itll still be all good. People only buy things like Luis Vuitton cause society said to and it all looks the same. I prefer stuff that's wild not like everyone elses. Keep at it.

I don’t know how you ended up on my page but glad it happened. I’ve been stressing out about starting my own business making shirts and doing my own thing. This helped me right now! Just sat down to try and come up with a couple things to print and was looking for music and the title of you video seemed almost too perfect for the moment I just had to watch. Blessings man and thank you the message through out the video has helped immensely.

when I was high I realized that “go with the flow” yk just let your body do let your hand do the canvas is exactly FREE you can draw, paint whatever you want and then you can see your patterns or your style as you keep it going don’t judge if you think it’s not perfect yk not perfect is a part of perfect ☯️ but you can still pursue your perfect ideals cuz that is also your style just put your energy in it and make your one and only 🫶 be free and feel it :))))

I hear what you are saying about art classes but mann I would not be the artist I am without the support and guidance from my art teachers, from elementary all the way until college! I guess the key is having those art teachers that support your ideas and freedom as an artist, its a precious thing and hard to come by.

Bro, thank you so much for this video. Genuinely one of my favourite videos on KZbin. I don't paint, but write, and so much of what you said resonated with me so deeply. I've been so in my head with expectations on my work, how it should fit within certain tropes, and all that kinda BS. So much so that I kinda killed the joy of creating something. Thank you for this video and reminder of why we engage in creative acts.

I'm currently in art school for design and I can definitely agree on how expectations can get in the way of true self expression but I also love the community aspect art school brings. For me, it is a balance of community and creating freely. Your perspective is on point.

It’s great how free your work is, love the style ! For your comments on art school , I took many art classes all the way from my youth and college, more than the lessons I received from school was the energy I got from working with other artists . A special energy and certain pressure to produce work that made me better by practice. I agree the school wasn’t necessary especially if you can find a good community of artists to work with. Keep it up bro!

Somewhere along the lines of my journey I lost focus on the important side of creation and often compared myself to the next person but then I realized that creation is a reflection of my own ideas and beliefs that cant be replicated, I have to remember that falling in love with the process is a part of the journey and the possibilities is the what makes the journey worth-while. Set your own standards and create for you! Thank you for this homie, I needed this kick in the butt desperately.
