WAIT OH MY GOD IM SO INVESTED??? I literally have no idea what’s happening or going on but everything about this has sucked me in. The way Mikey (a hallucination of Mikey? A demon? Some unexplainable entity?) switches from normal brother to “it’s your fault” is so perfectly unsettling. I could immediately feel the shift in the air, and the way you stay on Leo as Mikey begins to spiral before cutting to a horrific image of the youngest brother is just masterfully done. Makes me wonder (and be terrified of) whatever REAL Mikey sees when he says “Leo?”

asjdlaiwd thank you so much!!! I was trying very hard to give you a sense of what Leo feels in this scene. He didn't really know how to react, didn't want to look over at Mikey but couldn't help himself. It's a messed up situation. I also find it very fun that people are getting so many different ideas about what Leo is even seeing, and what Mikey sees at the end. It's very much up to interpretation!!

I was just thinking we needed more horror au's in this fandom and you delievered!! I'm so interested in this au-- for some reason or another Leo's suffering hallucinations, but how much if what he's seeing has a layer of truth to it? What curse was placed on them and how does it affect each brother differently, if at all? And the atmosphere of this animatic was 👌 👌 👌!! Love the choice for their 'voices' it's creative af!

Ahh I'm so happy you're interested!! I've got more information about this AU on my tumblr www.tumblr.com/hyperfixated-homo/tagged/rottmnt%20horror%20au. I have little tidbits of information on how the curse works there :)) I didn't want to voice act for the speech in this video but I needed voice, otherwise it felt too quiet. Somehow the animal crossing sound worked well enough despite the spooky vibe!

Honestly I'm surprised how well the animal crossing voice works it's gives off an eerieness like with distorted audio where parts of your brain is hearing random noises and the other is trying to hear words

Ah, I made it myself! Using acedio.github.io/animalese.js/, static effects, some random heartbeat/breathing effects, and an episode of a show that i manually muffled to put in the background. I hope that helps!
